Do your bit to fight food waste

TGTG is brilliant. Saving food that might otherwise go to waste. Several really good vendors including Morrisons, Greggs and Krispy Kreme. Goods sell for around a quarter of the regular price, plus everyone who uses the app is doing their bit to tackle food waste. Usually the order is placed the day before collection. Be prepared to accept what you're given, it may not always be what you're expecting or hoping for, but there are some really amazing treats on offer.

CA Fish Grill @ Serramonte via the TGTG app

Delicious sides, generous portions of 4 different types of sides, hassle-free pick up

What CA Fish Grill offers via Too Good To Go are the sides; if you expect that you'll get entrees, you will be disappointed. Though they sometimes include non-vegetable sides (like clam chowder), expect to more than likely receive a variety of vegetarian side dishes.

Oops! Am I supposed to be reviewing the APP instead of a particular vendor that's available through the app??

If this is supposed to be a review of the app, then TGTG is easy to use with a clean interface. If I could request certain features, I would ask for:
• a way to save location-related preferences
• a filter for food types (i.e., breads & pastries, fruits & fresh veggies, vegetarian, fish dish, meat dish, etc)

Helpful staff at the cafe at Thornbury…

Helpful staff at the cafe at Thornbury Morrisons Bradford. My first time and the two ladies there sorted everything out for me, thank you both the sandwiches and a selection of cakes and biscuits went down a treat.

It took two weeks of trying to get the…

It took two weeks of trying to get the food. Sometimes the reservation would be sold out even though I was there right at the time. Twice I got the reservation but it was canceled right before pickup because they didn't have anything.

Very hit and miss

Very hit and miss. Some restaurants understand the intention. Others aren't as concerned about giving decent value. Most recent "meal" included overpriced desserts which were more than 2/3 the value. Very disappointed

Bread overload

This was probably the most disappointing and annoyingly I’ve had bags from a sister bakery who do much more variety, but also bread/roIls have dates on and are still fresh - the rolls I got were most definitely beyond their best and very dry! I do understand it depends on what’s left but this was just all bread with one sweet item. My fault, but i just wouldn’t order again

Too good to go

Too good to go: Archway fresh fish and seafood. Archway Natural Organics. Great amount of food and variety, very tasty. Staff very friendly. Quick collection. I love this app, as you save so much money and support the environment. I use it weekly.

Disappointed

All 4 of the macarons were broken and actually missing pieces. The tiramisu was frozen and when it thawed it was soggy and disgusting. The only item that was half way decent was a multicolored croissant, which was also frozen. I’m not convinced these 6 items were a $30.00 value. It was a waste of money as everything went into the trash except for the croissant.

Using the Too good to go app was easy…

Using the Too good to go app was easy to use and understand. However I was highly disappointed with the restaurant, which I don’t blame on the app. Getting 1 small serving of salad and 2 small servings of the same rice was less than desirable. I will NEVER take advantage of any deal that is offered by California fish grill on your app again.

Save the planet starting from your local stores

TGTG is amazing initiative that helps all to reduce the waste day by day. Usually i buy from same locations to save food and still they are fresh enough to be utilized. App is easy to use and safe in terms of payment. Go back million more times for sure.

Quality of food in both bakery and…

Quality of food in both bakery and groceries is good and plentiful on occasions.
We understand bakery bags are a bit of a lottery but the slight downside being retirees is we’re not quite into lots of sweet filled doughnut's and kiddies sort of munchie’s…

NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO

TGTG is a fabulous concept but unfortunately companies who are registered, need to determine the difference between TOO GOOD TO GO and stale. Horrible experience with Costa in BR1 food with a 50% off sticker=Red Flag, so said so done, inedible. Rather than an apology, the Manager chose to tell me that they come packaged (not sure if he meant the items or the stickers) and “I can’t check all the items can I”. I would suggest ‘YES’ if you’re selling them to be eaten.
Eventually exchanged but unfortunately decision already made simply based on the fact I had to go back after the first bite

Surprise bags at a fraction of the cost

This is a great way of decreasing food waste and saving money. Obviously there is no way of controlling what you you get in your surprise bags but with an average saving of 66% it's a good scheme. I always share the items with other members of my family and my neighbour so very little ever gets wasted.

Mixed experience

So far, it’s a mixed of good and not so good pickups. In my home area, there are not a lot of places that participate in TGTG, and the selection is somewhat limited. Some stores are rather disappointing, as they seem to really scrape together things people don’t buy because it’s not good quality, but there are stores that really go out of their way to make it special. I always try to order some when visiting friends in Boston area as they have many to choose from. Can’t wait for you to expand more to other towns.

Great deal and friendly staff.

The staff in Greggs are very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and happy.
The content of the bags are always worth the amount stated and nice quality with both savoury and sweet products. Most of the food will last another day at least. Nearly always a very good purchase.

my review on Saturday I went…

Further to my review on Saturday I went back to Poundland Bakery and asked what they had done with my surprise bag.The supervisor lied and stated it had been picked by a customer with the correct code.Cannot happen and the bag was still on counter when I watched them close.She then stared shouting like Fish wife and abusing me and I left store.Disgraceful.Only one star given as none of minus are not provided.Too good to go app will not confirm my email address although they are aware I had a bad experience.The staff obviously STOLE MY BAG FOR THEMSELVES.This has caused undue upset for me at 74 yrs old.Will definitely not use this app until yhe matter is sorted.

Save food, money and the planet

I think this is a fantastic initiative: saving food, money and the planet! All at the same time. I see many pros for the app and I have been using it for years already. Whoever thought of this is a genius. I wish more countries would join worldwide because it is truly a win-win.

Not worth the gamble…

I purchased one box with really stale products that I wouldn’t have ever chosen for myself. The other box from another company that contained zero variety, and again, of a product that I wouldn’t have purchased otherwise.

The quantity of food is not as much as…

The quantity of food is not as much as it used to be. Also the variety is quite limited. I got six cream cakes all to be eaten on the same day. Difficult if there are only two of you. Also they keep including items with a Use By date which has already passed. I have returned these items before but have stopped doing this as Morrisons don’t seem to learn the lesson. The fresh fruit selection was only 50% edible. All in all disappointing

The selection of food was boring

The selection of food was boring. They had plenty of other items and didn't even consider mixing up the items, just gave 4 cupcakes. There were plenty of twinkies left, and it was one minute to closing.
