Jim McEwan, Master Distiller at Bruichladdich was responsible for the creation of this Single Malt Scotch. Different casks are used in the making of the whisky in order to capture both the classic, the elegant and the floral character of Bruichladdich. The Classic Laddie is made of 100% Scottish barley and produced using the trickle distillation method. This Single Malt is not peated and matures in American oak casks on the shore of Lochindaal.
In the nose, Bruichladdich Scottish Barley The Classic Laddie presents notes of barley and a hint of mint which are followed by scents of wild flowers and caramelised fruits. On the palate the aroma of sweet oak and barley is the most dominant being underlined by notes of brown sugar, sweet malt and ripe green fruits. The finish is warm and won't only satisfy the taste buds but also the soul!
