Bunnahabhain Eirigh na Greine

Bunnahabhain Eirigh na Greine is named after the morning sky. The Whisky lives up to its special name as it clearly stands out from the Islay distilleries range. Originally bottled exclusively for travel retail, it comes in a 1.0L bottle with an alcohol content of 46.3 % vol.

.

Storage

Bunnahabhain Eirigh na Greine owes its peculiarity above all to its unusual storage for Islay Whiskies. It matured in red wine barrels and thus gets its very own character. In comparison, many Single Malts mature in oak and sherry barrels.

Aroma

The dark colour of the whisky is a real highlight for connoisseurs. The variety of aromas is already impressive in the nose. Wonderful spicy and sweet nuts, marzipan and fruit notes can be recognized.

Flavor

The ripening process that Bunnahabhain Eirigh na Greine has undergone presents itself on the tongue. Red wine aromas are clearly present and give it a fruity touch. But the Scotch doesn't want to hide its origin either. A light smoky note is combined with some sea salt to create an exciting composition. Light hints of cocoa and sweet tips give it an additional versatile character.

Finish

In the finish the Single Malt Whisky proves that such an elegant, multifaceted drop fades out charming as well. The aftertaste is long and warm, additionally peppered with intense aromas, where especially the spicy and nutty notes stand out.
