Maker's Mark

The Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky Maker's Mark was invented in 1953 by Bill Samuels senior - in collaboration with Pappy Van Winkle, renowned in the whisky industry.

The Maker's Mark Bourbon is very different from other whiskies in Kentucky because it is made without rye. In addition, the grain is crushed - a more gentle production process designed to preserve the naturalness of taste. After fermentation in cypress wood tanks and double distillation, Maker's Mark matures into a mild spirit for up to seven years.

    Aroma

The sensory journey starts before opening, because the closure is covered with red wax. After pouring, sweet notes - including honey, vanilla and caramel - reach the nasal cavity. All in all, the bourbon exudes soft aromas, which are also marked by berries. In addition there are stronger smells, which remind of cocoa.

    Flavor

Is Maker's Mark one of the best Bourbon whiskies? In any case, it has something very special: its mild taste is due to the use of winter wheat instead of rye. Even more reasons for the shopping basket: Even the dark amber colour looks extremely homey, and the impression is only reinforced by the flavours. The sweet character is reminiscent of toffee, for example, while the fruity components are very fresh.

    Maker's Mark in Finish

The medium-length outlet impresses with its diversity. Fruits and caramel tones reverberate before a little smoke, not too intense, causes a little surprise.
