Visitors to Ardverikie have a chance to see some of the UK's rarest and most spectacular birds. We have nesting pairs of Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Hen Harriers and Black Throated Divers. We also provide excellent habitats for increasingly rare wading birds such as Lapwing and Curlew.
During the main winter months, usually December to April, holiday cottage guests have the opportunity to travel out onto the hill with our Deer Management team to feed the red deer. This gives you the chance to see the largest land mammal in the UK at very close quarters and learn directly from our staff how we manage both the deer and the habitat in the best possible way.
