Ardverikie nestles on the shores of Loch Laggan in the district of Badenoch in the Central Highlands of Scotland.
Loch Laggan is used as the balancing reservoir to feed the Aluminium Works in Fort William, and as such the level of Loch Laggan can vary quite considerably over the seasons. Drops in levels of the Loch expose the famous white sand beach at the head of Loch Laggan which is a wonderful place to walk and enjoy spectacular loch to mountain views.
The area is situated in the middle of the Monadhliath and Grampian mountain ranges and as such is surrounded by Ben Nevis, Craig Meagaidh Nature Reserve and the Cairngorms National Park. This all give an unrivalled range of vistas unsurpassed in Scotland.
The nearby village of Laggan bridge sits on the headwaters of the River Spey and has an excellent Coffee Shop. Further afield the villages of Newtonmore and Kingussie have a wider range of facilities including small supermarkets while Aviemore give access to a wide range of shops and a great variety of experiences and facilities for all visitors.
