View Creator Music data

Creator Music is now available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). Expansion to YPP creators outside of the U.S. is pending.

There are a few different reports you can download to understand how your content is performing on Creator Music. These reports are available for Music Label and Music Publisher partners:

License fee revenue reports: Summary and Transactional
Usage report

License fee revenue reports

License fee revenue reports include both a summary and a transactional report. The Summary report shows licensing revenue data for each sound recording asset ID. The Transactional report shows licensing revenue data for each individual transaction.

These reports are available on a monthly basis to partners that earned at least $100 (or the equivalent in local currency) in licensing revenue in a calendar month. To download your License fee revenue reports:

Sign in to Studio Content Manager.
From the left menu, select Reports .
At the top of the page, click Financial reports.
In the License fee revenue section, select the report you’d like to download from the Download reports column.

Note: Transaction fees are temporarily set at 0.

Report field descriptions

License fee revenue report: Summary

asset_id	YouTube-generated ID for the associated sound recording asset
asset_title	Title of the sound recording asset
asset_label	Asset labels associated with the asset
asset_type	Asset type (e.g. sound recording)
custom_id	Custom IDs associated with the asset
isrc	ISRC associated with the asset
upc	UPC associated with the asset
grid	GRID associated with the asset
artist	Artist associated with the asset (from the asset metadata)
album	Album associated with the asset (from the asset metadata)
licenses	# of licenses purchased
license revenue - usd	License revenue shown in USD

License fee revenue report: Transactional

retail price - usd	Price indicated by partners per segment in the license strategy
final partner earnings - usd	License revenue calculated as: final_partner_earnings: (item_revenue_usd_micros - transaction_fee ($0))* split * ownership_percentage

Usage report

The Usage report shows views on licensed videos grouped by sound recording asset. This report is available on a monthly basis. To download your Usage report:

Sign in to Studio Content Manager.
From the left menu, select Reports .
At the top of the page, click Licensing.
In the Usage section, select the report you’d like to download from the Download reports column.

Note: Data in the Usage report is anonymized if it falls below a certain threshold. If there aren’t enough viewers in a given country, no views will be reported.

For information on what assets are licensable, you may be able to export data on asset licensability.

Revenue sharing data

To check your Creator Music revenue sharing earnings:

Sign in to Studio Content Manager.
From the left menu, select Reports .
Download your monthly financial reports.
From the left menu, select Claimed Videos .
Export a list of claimed videos.
Filter the exported file by "Revenue sharing with uploader".
Match these video IDs with the video IDs from your financial reports.

Creator Revenue Sharing Financial Summary Report

The Creator Revenue Sharing Financial Summary Report contains the revenue and views generated by your revenue sharing assets, and will only be generated when such revenue/views occur for the month.

Sign in to Studio Content Manager.
From the left menu, select Reports .
At the top of the page, click Financial reports.
In the "Ads Revenue" and "Subscription Revenue" section, select the Video Revenue Sharing report from the "Download reports" column.
