Biography
Lyn Hellegaard was born in Moab, Utah. She earned a high school diploma from Sentinel High School. Her career experience includes working as an executive director and in the financial industry.[1]

Elections for the Montana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 10, 2014; minor party and independent candidates had until June 2, 2014, to file. District 98 incumbent Andrew Person was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Lyn Hellegaard was unopposed in the Republican primary. Person defeated Hellegaard in the general election. Incumbent Carolyn Squires (D) did not seek re-election.[3][4][5]

I've always been a vocal critic of wasteful government spending. While serving as a City Councilperson and Legislator I practiced restraint, fiscal responsibility, and advocated for lower taxes. I also sought new solutions for on-going problems.

It is absolutely necessary as you need support for your bills. We can teach each other about issues and improve our skills to the benefit of our constituents.
A 100% disabled veteran, who chose to help a family members struggling with addiction. Almost lost their home due to a bureaucratic decision, that was reversed after a 4 year fight. I was able to get HB325 passed to prevent this from happening to other veterans.
In very limited circumstances with limited emergency powers granted certainly not to the level that was granted under COVID.

What government reporting is done on budgets is purposefully hard for citizens to dig through and typically well passed the legally required reporting deadlines. Lately, many public meetings are selectively noticed to supporters, while ignoring the people affected or who would oppose the government desired outcome. There is very little government accountability nor consequences for violating the public trust.
I would consider changes that prevent out-of-state entities or funding from influencing the initiative process
