Recall reports

An effort to recall three of the seven members of the Gladstone Area Schools Board of Education in Michigan did not go to a vote. The effort began in 2021. Steve Tackman, Linda Howlett, and Henry Knoch were named in the recall petitions.[1][2]

The recall petitions listed the board members' votes to pass a six-week COVID-19 testing pilot program on September 20, 2021, as the reason for the recall effort. The board voted on November 15, 2021, to extend the program through January 14, 2022.[1]

Tackman's and Howlett's terms are due to expire in 2024, and Knoch's term is due to expire in 2022.[2]
