Rangers forward Tom Lawrence is emerging as a summer target for Besiktas.

The 30-year-old Wales international has one year left on contract and Turkish side Besiktas have recently appointed Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their head coach who signed Lawrence for Rangers on a free from Derby County in 2022.

Lawrence, who made 31 appearances last season, is also attracting interest from his former club Ipswich Town where he was player of the year in 2016-17 and a fans favourite.

Manager Kieran McKenna is looking to add some experience to his young squad as they return to the Premier League.

Sheffield United are also monitoring developments. The Bramall Lane club are looking to bounce back into the Premier League at first time of asking and tried to sign Lawrence before he went to Ibrox.

Since arriving in Glasgow, Lawrence has only scored six goals, four of which have come in the league.

The Welsh forward came through the ranks at Manchester United, making one appearance for the Premier League giants before leaving in 2014 for Leicester City.

From there he spent time at Rotherham United, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town on loan before joining Derby County.

It was at Pride Park that Lawrence enjoyed the most consistent stint in his career, playing 185 games in five years before signing for Rangers.
