I have combination, super oily but also dry skin with retinol use, textured, large pores, and acne prone. Over the years, I have tried tons of different cleansers for my complicated skin and this is by far one of my favorites for daily/nightly use!

Cetaphil is a trusted brand name that waz recommended by my dermatologist. After starting retinol, I needed a cleanser without harsh ingredients that doesn't exacerbate the dryness effect of retinol. This cleanser is a great price, in a BIG bottle that lasts a long time, the pump allows for quick/easy access and can lock for mess-free travel, leaves my skin super clean/soft/matte without drying or stripping my natural oils, doesn't exacerbate my naturally oily skin, doesn't give me breakouts, and has a nice light clean scent. It foams too which I love (I know foam cleansers aren't the best, but my skin just doesn't feel clean without them!). I now use the hydrating cleanser by Cetaphil instead of this original one because I needed a little extra help with moisturizing since starting retinol.

I used this every morning and night, and have repurchased it many times. After trying so many different cleansers, Cetaphil is by far my FAVORITE! I do have a different stronger salicylic acid cleanser that I use when I have breakouts, but I haven't needed it for months because my skincare routine has been working so well!

If you are looking for a simple cleanser that gives great results, I HIGHLY recommend buying this one or their hydrating cleanser! It has been working so well for me, and I am very picky about my skincare products.

I have used this product since my early teens, and this is absolutely my favorite face wash! The quality is wonderful!

I struggle flakey skin due to eczema, and overall dryness. This face wash really works well to clean the skin, while not being too harsh, and keeps your skins barrier intact. Though it is supposed to have no scent in it, it does have a bit a bit of a fresh smell to it which I really enjoy. Other face washes I've used for sensative skin have smelled straight up awful. Its texture is also not so runny that it's a dripping everywhere when your trying to use it, and not so thick as to feel gross and slimey.

Mine always comes quickly, and I've never had any issues with leaking. The container is very sturdy, and lasts me a long time.

Overall I really love this face wash, and highly reccomend it to anyone with sensative skin!

Prefer the scented - fresh, not chemically

Have used Cetaphil face wash for 2x daily cleansing for years. Appreciate that it’s non-foaming, very gentle, rinses clean, and face skin doesn’t feel tight immediately after using. I personally much prefer the scented Cetaphil face wash. The “fragrance free” version, imho, has a very odd, chemical smell - just don’t look forward to that when I cleanse my face. Am sure the “fragrance free” just as well. Just doesn’t suit me.

There is a strong fragrance in this product, and it leaves your skin dry but feeling soft and smooth afterwards. Occasionally, I feel my face slightly burning but leaving behind no ill-effects. If you want a gentler option, you might want to look elsewhere
