kal took the phone from rusty's hand and dialed the number she quoted him.
''hey yummy!,'' was the enthusiastic reply at the other end of the line (actually there was no line since it was a cell phone kal was speaking into.
silence on both ends of the conversation.
''yummy...is something wrong?''
''this isn't yummy (pause) this is kal.''
''kal----why are you calling on yummy's phone?''
'' i'm with her right now.''
nothing from the other end.
''max, can you come over tonight? I know it's short notice and all...''
the voice on the other end seemed to quaver. ''what's up?''
kal sounded more in control than he actually was. ''I've seen the videos you and rusty made together.''
max stammered, ''I...eh---yeah. i'll be there in 10 minutes.''
kal handed the phone back to rusty. 
rusty's eyes sparkled, ''you probably should call me 'yummy' when max gets here. I mean...we are kind of on a different bass with each other than we were before.''
kal leaned forward and kissed yummy fully on her mouth, ''maybe you should put some clothes on for when max gets here.''
''max has seen me like this before.''
kal laughed nervously, yeah, but not with me sitting on the bed beside you.''
