AFDs

[edit]

Hello, Babysharkboss2,

If you want to participate in AFD deletion discussion, please give arguments that demonstrate you have studied the article being discussed and carefully reviewed the sources supplied, in the article and in the discussion. Don't just offer an opinion, offer an argument to support your view that is grounded in Wikipedia policy and guidelines. I'm not trying to discourage your participation, I just want you to take it more seriously. AFDs are not for every editor as it requires knowledge and time to contribute productively to the discussion. I know you can do it, just do so thoughtfully. Thanks. Liz Read! Thank you for thanking me. It makes me feel good, and reminds me that someone appreciates my work. Wasabi-The-LoreMaster (talk) 21:05, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[]

Hi, just a quick note that pinging admins in situations like this is generally unnecessary; usually when dealing with situations like this, the less attention we give them, the better. Thanks, Writ Keeper  15:42, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[]

I wouldn't be citing precedent to someone who's had 15 years more on this platform than you have, pal. Americanfreedom (talk) 16:46, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[]

Hello, Babysharkboss2,

Today you deleted fully sourced and cited historical material concerning a racial atrocity that took place in Erwin, Tennessee in 1918. This is the fourth time since 2011 that mention of the event has been deleted from the History section of the town's article, either completely or in part. Full citations have also been deleted, with spurious reasons such as calling a College website source a "private website."

You gave no reason for your deletion.

The matter of these repeated deletions has been broached on the articles Talk page. Please present your reason for wanting to eliminate the history there rather than act in a vigilante manner. I will be reinstating the deleted and sourced material tomorrow, and if you wish to discuss it further, please do so on the Erwin Talk page. Catherineyronwode (talk) 05:37, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[]
