We tend to move away from, not toward, controversy at Wikipedia. Given that Arabian Gulf is a politically motivated name used by a minority of geographers, and the internationally recognized name is Persian Gulf, I think it's better to leave this as it is. I also note that Google Maps, which you cite as your authority for Arabian Gulf, displays the name as "Persian Gulf (Arabian Gulf)".
