Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Radio|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Radio. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Comment. Suriname0 found a review of A 'Favourit' Game, reviewed by Jack Williams. I'll add to that a review of Rain stops play, reviewed by Robert Thorpe, doi:10.1256/wea.112.02. Capital Radio (pirate)[edit]

An article from 2006 with only one source - a radio interview from 2003. There are no independent, third-party reliable sources cited. A WP:BEFORE search is complicated because there is a commercial radio outlet with the same name which came later. There is a body of work on the general subject of pirate radio in Europe in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but I could not find reliable sources for this particular station. Keep as meets WP:GNG with sources added to article. Insufficient WP:BEFORE. Yes, Dutch newspaper archives are particularly difficult to access online without going to a physical library (preferably in the Netherlands), but online sources like this and this are accessible via Google (and if you look closely at some of the websites covering the King David, they include photographs of old newspaper clippings as well). Also found a whole section dedicated to Capital Radio on board the King David in this book about pirate radio. There is enough coming up via Internet Archive, such that going through it will take more time than I have right now. Delete and/or restore redirect to List of radio stations in New York: any time a BLAR is contested for such a non-notable entity, it reduces the value of publicly retaining the page history any further. This is the type of radio station article (LPFM, started within the last decade or so) that, after the 2021 RfC that finally abolished the previous, more existence-based and non-GNG inclusion standards in this topic area, we have been (very) slowly trying to purge when they are remnants of the previous standards — this 2023-created article isn't even that. Keep Although our broadcast article guidelines have tightened a bit, they really haven't changed for known commercial FM radio stations owned by large-scale broadcasting companies like iHeart, and this is notable enough to be kept (though I'd like to see improvement in the article for sure). I also want to mention that I mean, it's notable enough to be kept on Wikipedia without it being redirected (since I mean, it's owned by iHeartMedia) even though sources and just improvement in general are an necessary thing here. Also, just a note, it shouldn't be redirected to the corporate article for no reason, because chances are, in some of these cases, they often redirect it to the state list of radio stations. Redirect to PRISA#America: while not specifically mentioned by full name, pretty much every claim in the article is also mentioned there (this is what the "GLR" in GLR Networks stands for), which might make it a valid-enough alternative to deletion.
