I am concerned about this edit. Not that you made it but that you felt it necessary to make it. See this edit and the talk page fall out. The only thing that these two pages have in common is that they were both edited by Kbabej. -- PBS (talk) 20:48, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Biography MOS

Please learn what the WP:MOS for biographies says in regard to names in articles. -- WV 01:56, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Please learn not to be so rude! Please answer the question though, why are you attempting to gut this group of articles that were originally created by Kbabej? It looks like you nominated nearly every article he/she created for AFD, and then the ones that made it through the AFDs, you are systematically removing sourced and cited information from them. What is your purpose? Why did you not mention in the rationales for the AFDs that the original creator had been banned? Do you have some sort of vendetta against the editor named Kbabej? WordSeventeen (talk) 02:18, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Please also learn what WP:UNDUE is about. -- WV 02:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Please learn what 4 reversions in less than 24 hours (between 02:44, March 29, 2015 ‎and 22:54, March 28, 2015‎ means on the article Robert Hastings Hunkins. WordSeventeen (talk) 02:54, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Is that a threat? Because, if it is, I see seven reversions at that same article for you [1]. -- WV 02:57, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

While you are please trying to learn please read over the difference between an edit and a reversion. LOL WordSeventeen (talk) 03:00, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Formatting tools

I noticed that you were formatting some Google books citations. You may already be aware of it, but if you are not I think you might find http://reftag.appspot.com a useful tool. You will find some other tools at Wikipedia:Wikimedia Labs/Toolserver replacements and more at Wikipedia:Tools -- PBS (talk) 16:44, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]

Yes, thank you. I use that reftag one as well as one at http://tools.wmflabs.org/yadkard/yadkard The second one gives both a plain as well as named reference citation. Thanks for the links, I will check them out. WordSeventeen (talk) 17:20, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[]
Thanks for that link. I did not know about it. It's going into my collection on my notes page. -- PBS (talk) 11:23, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Information icon Hello, I'm Winkelvi. Your recent edit to the page Patsy Presley appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. She's being incorrectly attributed with being a "Collaborator". You need proof of her actually being a true collaborator other than a writer from a UK online publication saying it is so. Find a credit somewhere that proves she was an actual collaborator. -- WV 03:25, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[]

You are incorrect. You also changed the wording of a direct quote from an article that was cited. I have replaced the correct quote in the article to correct your error. Just because your argument got trumped in the AFD discussion is no reason to go in and frivolously start gutting the sources and references in the article. You need to self revert all those changes and discuss them before deletion. If you cannot agree to self revert all those changes and discuss I will have to take this matter further. (Including that you have a pattern of this same ill behaviour over a group of articles that were all originally created by editor Kbabej._ I do not think you really want to open up that hornets nest. i deleted the personal life section because that information is already repeated several times in the article with a whole section dedicated to her marriage to kris humphries and another for motherhood and marriage to kanye west. maybe you should revert your edits to include the personal life section back in the intro as her 72 day marriage and marriage to kanye are reasons she is notable and would not look misplaced in the lead unlike having a personal life section above early life and sex tape. her career is her personal life from the tabloids to the reality shows and as mentioned before looks misplaced as a stand alone section with the info mentioned in other places within the article. I agree we should be civil. I redacted that as requested. But forgive me if it's a bit hard for me to stay collected when this is my third attempt at tellingyou that I identified my own interedt in the article. I did not intend or claim and ownership of the article, my intent was solely to disclose my interest. When I said "you" it was in the sense of you all, as in all people have a duty to disclose an interest in an article if they created or significantly contributed to it. I never said and do not believe, as is fact, that you have an interest in the articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SanctuaryX (talkcontribs) 22:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Kardashian-related articles

Can you give an example of the information that is repeated. Nightscream (talk) 04:28, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Yes thank you Nightscream, for instance on the Kim Kardashian article please see the tables for TV, filmography and awards. Then the prose in the article has these several statements that give the same information contained in the table.
Occasionally there may be an extra item or some bit of info, but most of these below are the same info:
  • Kardashian played Elle in four episodes of the television series Beyond the Break.
  • .....and guest judge on America's Next Top Model in August of that year.
  • In October 2007, Kardashian, in addition to her mother Kris; her step-father Bruce; her siblings Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob; and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie began to appear in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
  • she made her feature film debut in the disaster film spoof Disaster Movie, in which she appeared as a character named Lisa.
  • Kardashian made a cameo appearance during an episode of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, in the episode "Benefits"
It just goes on and on like that through this whole article and many others in the group. Plus please note there are inline citations in the prose, and then the tables with what appears to be the same reference.

Thank you for looking this over, Cheers! WordSeventeen (talk) 01:30, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Sorry about that

I saw earlier people putting pinging people on afds for those who put up the notability tag which I did that on a article that I didn't realize that many people put one up. Wgolf (talk) 02:24, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[]

I didn't think it be a problem, so yeah I'll stop. (I've just seen it done by others so I thought it wasn't a big deal-though after one article I was thinking it might be too much) Wgolf (talk) 02:28, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[]
Nice that you say sorry. But who was the user that added the references that you refer to when you said

"Well the blp prod was removed since it got refs" hmmm? Did you ping or notify that editor? Can you tell me the name of the editor? You seem to be overall a good editor @Wgolf but I do not understand your brevity when you approach these articles that you consider for deletion. Have you ever considered trying to improve an article now and then? Or maybe help a new editor to fix a ref that they found, but it just was not formatted correctly? For example today I came across an article today where you had reverted an edit where the person did not have the ref formatted correctly at Jagdeo Prasad. Here is the diff, if you are interested in what I saw on the page when I looked up this " 05:08, April 7, 2015‎ Wgolf (talk | contribs)‎ . . (2,573 bytes) (-583)‎ . . (ref does not exist) " Before you reverted the edit [2], after you reverted the edit [3]

If you look closely at the reference it appeared like a bare url on the page. It looked like this:

http://www.countercurrents.org/ayadav020211.htmhttp://www.countercurrents.org/ayadav020211.htm

The editor just probably pasted it twice. If you just click on that it will give you a 404, but the ref does exist. Just erase he duplicate url, and you will go straight to the page the editor was trying to use as a reference.

Of course you are not really required to do any of this. But as for me, my goal is to help to improve the encyclopedia, improve articles, occasionally create articles, and try to help others who may not know how to do that one little thing that could help them to improve the articles. What are your goals here at wikipdia Wgolf? Cheers! WordSeventeen (talk) 02:51, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Thank you!

Hi dear WordSeventeen! Thank you for reviewing my article Shahram Qadir and I appreciate it. You have left a tag which required a more reliable source for biography. I have already proven sources for this short biography, both in English and Farsi. And on External Links section I put once more IMDb as information source for this person's biography which is the same information on magazines that I have referred to as sources. I will be grateful if you review once again my article and if it is possible remove the tag. Best regards Wikipedia 14:21, 8 April 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iranian Cinematographers (talkcontribs)

Thanks for leaving a comment at AfD for the above article. However, I want to let you know that I changed my Keep vote to Delete vote after I reviewed the article again following a recent addition of sources that established the subject notability. In lieu of this your comment per my initial vote may no longer valid, perhaps you should consider to take a look. Thanks! Wikigyt@lk to M£ 18:23, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Family trees

I do not know of any help pages. That is not because they may not exist it is just that I do not know of any. How to build a simple family tree is described in the documentation to template:chart. There is also the old template:familytree which is now deprecated in favour of {{chart}} which seems to have the same documentation. You may also like to look in category:family trees to see some more complicated examples.

If they are templates then they are often collapsed with {{navbox}}. See for example Template:Family tree of William Jardine (1784-1843) which also shows how to include citations within such a template.

If you want to isolate the footnotes for the chart you can do it using this:

{{chart top|An example family tree}}
<center>
{{chart/start}}
{{chart| | | |GrMa |~|y|~| GRP | |GrMa=Grandma{{efn-lr|A first class citation}}|GRP=Grandpa}}
{{chart| | | | | | | |)|-|-|-|.| }}
{{chart| | | MOM |y| DAD | |DAISY|MOM=Mom|DAD=Dad|DAISY=[[Aunt Daisy]]}}
{{chart| |,|-|-|-|+|-|-|-|.| | | }}
{{chart| JOE | | ME  | | SIS | | |JOE=My brother Joe|ME='''Me!'''|SIS=My little sister}}
{{chart/end}}
|-
|style="text-align: left;"|'''Notes:'''
{{notelist-lr}}<!--- use either {{Efn-lr}} and/or <ref group=lower-roman /> To fill this notelist -->
</center>

{{chart bottom}}

produces this:

An example family tree
Grandma[i]Grandpa
MomDadAunt Daisy
My brother JoeMe!My little sister
Notes:
  1. ^ A first class citation

I hope that helps. -- PBS (talk) 10:54, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[]

A new reference tool

Hello Books & Bytes subscribers. There is a new Visual Editor reference feature in development called Citoid. It is designed to "auto-fill" references using a URL or DOI. We would really appreciate you testing whether TWL partners' references work in Citoid. Sharing your results will help the developers fix bugs and improve the system. Keeping Wikipedia Expanding Not Shrinking

Hello User:WordSeventeen sorry for disturbing you. The reason I am writing you is we all love Wikipedia and we want it expanding. However there is a discussion going on to delete a notable game article because of biased opinions. I saw that you edited this article: Dokapon_Ikari_no_Tekken and let it stay for further expansion, update and keep growing Wikipedia even though it has no references. But I am also totally agree with you to let articles stay for improvements and expand Wikipedia. So I believe you are a neutral, professional, objective and who believes in expanding Wikipedia not shrinking it type of person. So I would like you to check out this discussion Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/MonsterMMORPG_(2nd_nomination) and make your comment based on references it has. References are here Talk:MonsterMMORPG. Please feel free to delete my message to you after you read it. Thank you very much have a nice day.176.233.41.152 (talk) 14:10, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Removal of Stub Tag

Why did you remove the Stub tag from Suzy Miller? The article seems to be lacking in content at this point and could use more information to become a functional biographical overview. Interference 541 (talk) 07:01, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[]

I did not remove it. I moved the stub notice to the bottom section of the article as is customary. Thanks for the note. Cheers! WordSeventeen (talk) 07:03, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[]
My bad, I'm accustomed to seeing notifications near the top. Interference 541 (talk) 07:06, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[]

@Winner 42 This article should not be speedily deleted because the rationale stated for speedy deletion was "because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate" does not apply in this particular case. While the article subject did have a lengthy barely referenced article which did have a deletion discussion, it was not deleted at the end of discussion. Furthermore, the article at this time is substantially different. It is a stub article at this time, and is currently being expanded. It now includes specific examples of the notoriety of the artist and is well referenced. I do have the intention of expanding the article further. WordSeventeen (talk) 03:59, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[]

I understand that, but the AfD specifically closed with, "Move to draft and seek approval". The draft was submitted for AfC where it was declined pending further improvement. While G4 technically does not apply here, the spirit of G4 (creating an article in spite of a deletion discussion) does. The article should stay in draft space until it is approved by the AfC reviewers. Winner 42 Talk to me! 13:16, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[]
@Winner_42, respectfully speaking, I think you have me confused with some different editor. I never submitted an article about Jose Luis Gonzalez to AFD. There was a lenghty article about the same subject submitted at one time by some other editor. I did try to assist that editor with some editing, but there has been no further communication between us. I created a stub article also about Jose Luis Gonzalez. The stub article I created has never been at AFC. It has never been at AFD. The article should not be speedily deleted because the rationale stated for speedy deletion was "because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate" does not apply in this particular case. While the article subject did have a lengthy barely referenced article which did have a deletion discussion, it was moved to draft space at the end of discussion. I would ask that you withdraw your speedy delete nomination. Thank you. WordSeventeen (talk) 15:25, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[]
Fair enough, I have removed the speedy deletion nomination as you have addressed my concerns. Thanks for your response and happy editing! Winner 42 Talk to me! 16:25, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[]

content dispute/RFC started/note from Drmies

WordSeventeen, remember this? It seems pretty clear that you followed Winkelvi to Simon Collins with the intent to bother them. I will not hesitate to block you if this appears to be part of an ongoing pattern. Thank you, and cheers. Drmies (talk) 03:24, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[]

Thank you for the note Drmies. Please be aware I have an expansive watchlist and edit many different types of articles. I certainly not guilty of following anyone. LOL Perhaps as the fine administrator that you appear to be, you might want to be neutral and look at both sides of every situation. There are quite a few issues with the user Winkelvi where he directly implied in a RFC here: [4] that I was dishonest and started the RFC in bad faith which is in and of itself him being guilty on not assuming good faith. WP:AGF That statement in the RFC borders on a personal attack against a specific editor. Please advise Winkelvi to cut that out. Thank you. Cheers! WordSeventeen (talk) 03:39, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[]
Thank you for the compliment; your good sense gives me even more reason to think that you will take this seriously. If you have a problem with an editor, and you start editing articles that editor has been editing before you ever edited them, then I have little choice but to assume you followed them on purpose. My advice is to start clicking "Random article" to avoid the very impression that you are following them. That RfC, I don't think you can use that as a good example of them harassing you--in fact, I see the opposite there, since it just adds to the appearance of hounding. Thank you! Drmies (talk) 04:29, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[]
Again thank you for your note Drmies. Please see the note I left at the talk page of Bbb23 here: [5]

There is quite a bit of backstory that you may or not be aware of. I will have no further comment regarding the issue of winkelvi being disruptive, arguing with editors, implying an editor started an RFC and did that dishonestly, and in bad faith, did not assume WP:AGF among other things. If you do have the time to read about the full backstory, a good start for you would be the talk page of Bbb23 which is located here: [6]. Cheers! WordSeventeen (talk) 04:50, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[]

See User talk:Drmies#Here we go again and

As you know user:Winkelvi was told to stop editing pages which Kbabej had created or made a large contribution.

If I take fifteen of the page from this sample:

it show that you are turning up at a lot of pages that Winkelvi has edited fairly recently before you arrived to make your first edit, while the inverse is much less common. I suggest that to avoid accusations of WP:HOUNDING that, for the next few months that if you come across a page you have not edited before that has been edited by Winkelvi, you do not edit it until at least a month has passed since Winkelvi made an edit to a page. -- PBS (talk) 01:06, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[]

So that we are clear on the numbers. I have done some further analysis of the pages where the two of you have edited. if we strip out those that user:Kbabej edited first, then the articles which you have edited after Winkelvi has edited them are 9 within upto 14 days between edits and another 5 where you made an edit well over a month after Winkelvi's last edit to that specific article:

In contrast you edited 3 articles which Winkelvi then edited:
