Mayonnaise

Hi - I have been doing a bit of reading up on Mayonnaise, and reading through the article on WP I noticed some things that contradicted what I had read elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I have neither the time or the expertise to amend the article in question, should it need amending at all.

I am writing to you as you were the last person to revert an edit on the page.

One of the things mentioned is that Hellmann sold the Mayonnaise in "Butter Boats", but I have read elsewhere that he saw this in France, and didn't like it:

"In early 1912, the Hellmanns left New York and traveled to Germany, where they visited Vetschau, Richard’s birthplace. They also went to Paris, where Hellmann met his former colleague, Matt Martinez, who by then was president of his family’s retail food business. Hellmann studied Martinez’s operation and was particularly impressed with his distribution system: Rather then expect customers to come to buy the fruit, cheese, butter, vegetables, jams, and jellies he sold, Martinez delivered the food directly to his customers.7 One of the products that Martinez made and distributed was mayonnaise. The Hellmanns had made a fresh batch of mayonnaise by hand everyday and sold it in small portions at their delicatessen, but Martinez made mayonnaise in bulk and distributed it to hotels and other institutions. Although he was impressed with the concept, Hellmann was put off by the packaging: The mayonnaise was sold in five-pound wooden butter boxes, which to Hellmann seemed unsanitary."

Cannot find external links you referred to

Hi Randompointofview you posted to me about some of my external links that have been removed by other people, but I can't seem to find what those links are? As far as I can see all the external links I've added are still there. Could you point out which links you were talking about? Eric.c.zhang (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:19, 9 May 2020 (UTC) I checked again on the edit history of the futures exchange article, and I found that Wikipedia's edit difference viewer didn't give me the right edit notes, causing confusion for me. I sincerely hope that you will have an excellent time here on Wikipedia! Randompointofview (talk) 23:47, 9 May 2020 (UTC) @Eric.c.zhang: Randompointofview (talk) 23:49, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[]

How are you beating that filter?

The whole point of the edit was to turn filter 1050 against what Wikipedia wants. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 179.6.193.177 (talk) 20:32, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[]

A pie for you!

Re St Louis Country Club

That user attempted to remove a passage stating that the club has a history of antisemitism; if the user is a representative or member of the club, they may want to remove unpleasant history from the article about the club. 331dot (talk) 21:37, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[]

Re:

Hi,

The ref is a youtube speech on March 21. I let u revert yourself 😀

Ref: Khamenei speech, Ruptly, March 21,2020. It's in Farsi and at 35 min.

The WP bot blacklisted the youtube link, so you'll have to search it yourself.

Kind regards, 99.203.24.155 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:53, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[]

After consideration and online research today of the original transcript, he might have been speaking about INSTEX instead. I was thinking he may or his government have tons of money in Switzerland "How could he say that?" My bad. 99.203.25.189 (talk) 03:47, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[]

Vandalism patrol

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar

Hi, thanks for helping with vandalism patrol! When you think you're ready you should apply for rollback permission and get Huggle. I find that Huggle makes monitoring the recent changes feed for vandalism a LOT easier compared to other tools. –Gladamas (talk · contribs) 00:03, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[]
