ABA Oman International School (formerly ABA – an IB World School and The American-British Academy), is a private, non-profit, co-educational international school in Muscat, Oman.
Founded in 1987, ABA Oman [1] educates the next generation of leaders and innovators, inspiring them to make a positive impact on their world. ABA enrols over 920 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, representing over 75 countries.[2] Located in central Muscat, ABA is grounded in its mission to deliver an international education of the highest quality to enable students to be confident, responsible, caring, life-long learners.
ABA is the first and only international school in Muscat to offer three levels of the International Baccalaureate program - the IB Primary Years (PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programmes (DP) - the gold standard in University preparation. These form a powerful continuum of learning that aims to develop in students the capacity to help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
ABA is a school that values that importance of students' academic performance and gives priority to students' personality development.[3] ABA Oman has state-of-the-art facilities and offers robust co-curriculars that are balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond subjects. Innovative programs with an international focus have been integrated into the school’s curricular and co-curricular activities, from Elementary right up to Grade 12. Our IB Curriculum, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, intercultural, Athletics and Service trips, and a multi-cultural student body, all function together to prepare students to be active members of the world community. The values and skills of global citizenship are all reflected in our programs across all areas of the school.
