Biography

Fuentes is the founder/CEO of the tech startup company Unite Congress. She has a background in radio, digital culture, applied biology, and international community service.^[1]

Fuentes defeated Kinsey Remaklus in the Democratic primary, while Biggs defeated Justin Olson, Don Stapley, and Christine Jones to win the Republican nomination. Women: For every 1 woman in Congress there are 5 men. Talia realizes this severely misrepresents the American people where women actually outnumber men by 5 million across the whole country. Why are there not more woman in Congress? Because we’ve been conditioned by the establishment to believe that Congress is meant for white, male lawyers. We must change this perception.

The Middle Class: Talia grew up in Arizona Congressional District number 5 graduating from Mesa Mountain View. Her family story is one that many across our Nation share. Talia’s parents divorced when she was young and both remarried. She watched as her father worked his way up from making less than $20,000 a year to making well over $100,000 in the food production industry. She watched as her father flourished despite the 2008 crash because he was fortunate enough to be in a sector that was not heavily impacted as so many other industries were.

Climate Change: Talia believes science has also been sorely misrepresented within our government. Climate change is the greatest challenge to ever face man kind and we need to stop debating its existence. Science, facts, and figures are ignored while the planet continues to accelerate towards a warmer climate and ocean levels continue to rise. She believes more scientists need to step up and be involved as public servants.^[5]
