|Since 2013, I've represented Portage County in the State Assembly, championing more opportunities for Central Wisconsin families. I'm running for re-election to continue my work fighting for clean water, making health care more affordable, ensuring everyone has access to the best public schools, technical colleges, and universities, and supporting good-paying, family-supporting jobs.
During this pandemic and beyond, we need a representative focused on our public health and a strong economic recovery. As your representative, I am in frequent communication with local, state, and federal leaders and community health partners as we work through this pandemic together. I've introduced legislation to speed up unemployment insurance benefits and protect our frontline health care workers with more PPE and hazard pay. I also advocated for doubling financial support for small businesses and relief for our farmers.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve the community I love and be your voice in the State Capitol.
- Everyone should have access to affordable health care, quality schools, clean air and water, and a family-supporting job. I'm running to keep championing these issues in the Legislature.
- You deserve clean, transparent government. As your state representative, I've fought for campaign finance reform, fair maps, and accountable government.
- The public health should never be politicized. During this pandemic, I've worked around the clock to advocate for constituents and ensure our community is safe. You can count on me to follow the science and support a smart, balanced response to this pandemic.
In the Legislature, I focus on natural resources, education, and health care. As the Vice Chair of the Speaker's Task Force on Water Quality, I introduced ten bipartisan clean water bills. As the ranking member of the Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee, I introduced a bipartisan package of bills to invest in our technical colleges and universities and fund financial aid for more students. I also introduced and passed the state's new community paramedic law, which opens up accessible health care to people and reduces 911 calls by double digits.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
