Abraham Lincoln, because as President, his stated goal over and over was to preserve the Union. He said the preservation of the government of the people, for the people, by the people shall not parish from the Earth.
As the civil war was tearing at the fabric of the country, Abraham Lincoln remained focused on the State of the Union and the preservation of the country “of the people, for the people and by the people.”
Fiscal commitment to a balanced budget, long term commitment to education, transparency and honesty in
communications.
I can listen and hear. Sometimes a solution is in the marriage of CREATIVE ideas.
Someone who wasn’t afraid of creating meaning out of chaos.
The first event I recall was Kennedy's assassination when I was 12 years old.
I carried milk door to door when I was 10 years old. I did that till I was 14 and then I worked at a gas station.
I liked Advise and Consent by Allen Drury because it was my introduction to U.S. Government.
I like Batman because even though he is so capable, at the end of the day he is just a human being who is smart and is a defender of Justice.
Rocky Mountain High by John Denver
The death of a son. There is no closure, there is no hope, there is little to no room for dreams. So live while you can make a difference.
The two (2) year terms should make the House members more cognizant of the wishes of the people.
No. I believe the founding fathers intended government service to be AFTER a normal working experience that created the kind of experience that the government should understand.
The reduction of the National Debt and creation of a fair and equitable tax act such that the middle class can be resurrected.
I am a proponent for term limits and it might be a good idea to have age limits, (minimum and maximum) which precede term limits.
Abraham Lincoln.
I would rather not answer this question at this time.
None come to mind.
Compromise in the sense that parties need to listen to each other and be open to creating solutions that address opposing viewpoints.
It is imperative that the National Debt be reduced by enormous amounts and restrictions put in place that will protect the country from future perils. Additionally, the nation should have a substantial financial reserve just for things like the COVID pandemic. Fiscal responsibility is NOT optional behavior.
Responsibly, NOT as a weapon or threat.
