Could be improved!

Could be improved!

Selling process is pretty straightforward, haven’t purchased anything so can’t comment on that.

Main thing I would like to see introduced would be a separate tab for all purchased items, trying to find shipping labels for purchasers jumbled with all other messages because quite a faff.

Other than that, no issues

Excellent user friendly app communicating with other like minded people

Great app, simple to use, recognises photos uploaded to help with selling.
Good checks with name goods to avoid other users to be miss sold.
Active information about you items that you are selling.
Haven’t personally brought from site as not needed however can see the process is just as simple.
Only minor issue I have occurred is at the post offices they don’t always accept the parcel.
However depending on staff attitudes they will guide to a an other post office or store to be sent.

Yodel didn’t deliver

Although the delivery company, Yodel, gave themselves a huge window to deliver the parcel (4th to 25th) of June . It was apparent that they had either not picked up or had lost the parcel. Then you quickly refunded me the money.

Beware of bundles

I’ve been using Vinted for several months and have been really pleased with both buying and selling. However I was totally unaware of discount bundles until I received notification that a bundle of 4 of my items had been sold at a much reduced price than what I had set. Vinted had reduced them in a bundle making each of my 4 items to £1.57. One of the items was a brand new pair of leather shoes. It was my fault for not checking settings, but I think Vinted should ask if it is OK to sell at a reduced price.

Am new to this sight and got conned

Am new to this sight, only bought a few items, then this seller called babababa60 sold what they said was a 'jadeite bangle' and said it was checked out by a jeweller. Well, it arrived broken in two pieces, was not even cold to the touch and was clearly not jade or jadeite at all - I had to pay almost £5 to return it at my expense then they tried to get out of refunding me for the bracelet by saying they 'had an issue' so had to fight hard to get my money back. This has put me off Vinted and I won't be buying from there again!

Sold an item on Vinted

Sold an item on Vinted, posted on the 11th June. Issue with In Post locker went missing till the 18th June. Then delivered to buyer. Buyer denies receiving it, although have royal mail tracking and photograph of delivery. Vinted not interested, support hopeless. Advice stay away from Vinted its not worth the hassle. I have lost my goods and doesn't look like I will be compensated.

Shipping problem

2 items were sold and arrived safely at their destination with great reviews. Unfortunately my first sale with vinted didn’t arrive at the buyers pick up point although the QR code was scanned by me following the correct instructions. The item is now on its way back to me.

No Protection for sellers. Scammed!

I used a digital label to send my parcel via InPost. The parcel contained an expensive perfume. The buyer is now claiming she has received something else. She has either scammed me or InPost have put the wrong label on. The buyer will be refunded and will have kept my perfume too. No help from Vinted. Looks like I will need to purse this via a small claims court.

The whole process is unbelievably easy

After my wife died I was left a huge pile of her clothes to dispose of. Friends suggested Vinted as they had been successful with their items. I had to bite the bullet so downloaded the app and setup an account. Unbelievably easy. I photographed my first item and went through the Vinted listing procedure, again so easy just follow the instructions. I was delighted to make my first (of many now) sale. Packed the item printed off the despatch label and took it to a locker, there are so many where I shop. The buyers that I have interacted with have been a pleasure to deal with, pleasant and helpful. I am so pleased that I gave it a go.

Tracking isn't available/ Parcel didn't arrive


I have ordered an item on vinted on 20/06/2024. The seller have sent it on the next day. However when I purchased I put in the delivery carrier to be royal mail, but the seller has used Evri, I tried to track using the tracking numbers send by the seller but none of them are working. It's been 5 working days since the product has been sent but I have no information about where it is. Therefore I demand a refund or information about where the parcel is and when it will arrive.

Nice and easy

Nice and easy to load items for sale, good communication. Each sale has been smooth, item paid for and received without issues. Will continue to use for selling, haven't bought anything myself yet, but you never know what might come up!

Vinted withholding money

DPD lost my parcel (it happens) and advised Vinted to start the claims procedure 6 weeks ago but Vinted won’t accept this. As a result, I have to wait indefinitely in the unlikely event the item “turns up”. In summary, I have paid for something I don’t have, Vinted has kept my money and the seller hasn’t received payment. Messaging customer service is pointless as they don’t do anything. Completely unethical

Absolutely disgraceful service

Absolutely disgraceful service. Purchased an item that was meant to be Disney branded and brand new - what arrived was a counterfeit item and stained/smelling of perfume (quite obviously not new). Their solution to this was that I should pay out of my own pocket to return the item meaning that I would have paid delivery charges twice on a counterfeit item. Why is the seller of this counterfeit item not the one to be penalised and told to pay delivery charges to take the item back? How are they getting away with allowing their sellers to sell counterfeit items and not monitoring this even when evidence is provided? Absolute fraudsters who clearly don’t take counterfeits seriously.

Just an app full of scammers!

Sent a Swarovski bracelet in a Swarovski box. Well packaged in bubble wrap and loads of tape and then in a bag again all tightly packaged up. Sent Inpost. Buyer messaged to say she'd received it but no bracelet in the box. She then said the box and bubble wrap were loose in the bag.
I contacted Vinted to say it's either a scam or it was taken in transit. Vinted have said they have seen the photos and it wasn't packaged properly so they've refunded the buyer!!!!!
All my reviews are 5 star and say how well things were packaged. Vinted wouldn't even listen to my side and just kept saying they won't budge on their decision so not to bother contacting them again. I feel so upset. I've since heard loads of similar horror stories, wish I'd known. I'm never ever using Vinted again, absolutely shocking!!!

This is where bargains are to be had! A great community full of honest people it seems. Bargain prices and ease of use is better than other competitors in my opinion

Customer service doesn't listen to the customer or answer questions

I still have an unresolved issue. They have the worst customer service I have come across. The issue was inpost couldn't deliver a parcel to a pickup point. The tracking I had said it was being returned to sender. I contacted Vinted customer service to find out what the next procedure was with a screenshot of the tracking. The person on customer support just ignored everything I had to say and said that because the tracking said still in transit it would arrive. They continuously kept quoting the wait 25 working day policy back to me. I tried explaining again to get answers for the next step and they just ignored the information I had that it was being returned to sender.
