Pretty Great Across The Board

Props where they're due, BUPA is really bloody good.

Had problems signing up due to an old policy still tied to my name. Online customer service solves that and two other issues politely and diligently over 15 mins.

Need to make a claim? Easy online system, very straight forward, full amount reimbursed to me within 1 week of claim.

Go to a BUPA approved Dentist, best service I've ever had in my life.

Credit where credits due, cheers BUPA.

Highly recommend BUPA health insurance

We have been with BUPA through work for about 2 years now and previously we were with BUPA privately. I have given it 5 stars as it’s always been very good service when you phone for authorisation with knowledgable staff. We are very happy with our policy. The BUPA dental insurance is separate which we also have but that has been a waste of money for us although that also has a very fast claims process.

Would highly recommend BUPA health insurance.

Quick and easy claim for Bupa dental…

Quick and easy claim for Bupa dental care only flaw is that it is not available in the app as yet but still really quick and easy to use. Had the claim and all supporting documents uploaded in 5mins and claim paid out in less than a week

Since I took up the benefit from work…

Since I took up the benefit from work to have BUPA for dentistry, it has been a wonderful experience. I go in to the dentist every for 3 to 4 months which obviously requires payments, I like how easy it is to claim back from BUPA, stress free upload and so on.

Listened to and taken seriously

Felt I was being listened to and taken seriously. Was provided with good suggestions on next steps and swiftly organised an appointment with GP.

Quick and effecient.

Rang Bupa for a direct assessment rather than through my GP and was offered a video assessment 90 minutes later, which I was able to make.

That assessment was exactly what I wanted and I received the necessary follow up at the end.

Springfield hospital is now an NHS over…

Springfield hospital is now an NHS over flow. The receptionist are straight out of an over run GP service. Only looking up to acknowledge your existence after they have finished typing and have a chat with there colleagues. Que to find a parking space , que to register your car, que to spoken to by reception, ended up with chewing gum stuck to my shoe and now all over my car carpet. My wife and I pay £6500 a year to BUPA, next year that's going in a savings account so we can take ourselves to Harley Street.

My experience

My whole experience right from the beginning when I visited a physio, right through until I had had my operation and follow up operation, has been straight forward, no hassle or delays and everyone I have dealt with have been very friendly and helpful. I am very grateful, Thank you

Best Insurance I've had in the UK

The customer service is really helpful, and making a claim is easy and hassle-free. It's not like other insurance companies where you have to spend hours on the phone answering tons of questions. I've been using this service for 2 years, and it's been reliable and quick.

Too many forms, too many emails for a sick person to use

I had to use the Bupa online doctor service as I was too unwell to work.

The system is too long, convoluted and complicated for someone to use while they are indeed sick.

I had to fill out two online forms, and review two emails in order to select the practitioner I required in order to be assessed. If I was able to coherently review documents and emails, I would have been fit enough to work, and therefore not need the service.

I ended up abandoning the process as I was too ill to click through the emails to fill out another form.

I have used other systems before which are much more to the point (especially for seasonal illnesses etc), and therefore are actually useful for those that are indeed too sick to work.

It is always easy to book an…

It is always easy to book an appointment with good doctors.But I wish the process is more simple and straight forward . Also I think virtual GP is not required for eye appointment , for other appointments virtual GP maybe required.

Very quick in response

Very quick in response, and suggesting three different places i could get my treatment. Specifically liked the fact that the places had to be verified, of which 2 of the 3 had been. Making my choice more focused. Treatment I had was a consultantion and physio, for arthritic thumb, not carpal tunnel syndrome as I previously thought. Physio was brilliant.

Effective exercise plan

Phone appointment went ahead on time with physiotherapist. She diagnosed the problem and gave me stretching exercises to do, which have really helped with pain in my hip. Very pleased.

Timely and efficient but costly

Timely and efficient - the job done by the hygienist and her assistant was well executed. What we found however was that the annual costs of a check up and visit to the hygienist is no longer fully covered. This was partly my fault for not getting a quote in the first place but still disappointing given the amount we willingly pay each year.
