School's out for the summer, but Ravenswood educators are still working hard in service of students! This week, our Instructional Leadership Teams are in full-day retreats to reflect, collaborate, and plan for 2024-25. We are thrilled to have such amazing leaders bringing our Ravenswood Promise to life! ¡Las clases terminaron durante el verano, pero los educadores de Ravenswood todavía están trabajando duro al servicio de los estudiantes! What a lovely evening at the Palo Alto Community Fund CommUNITY Celebration at beautiful Bloomhouse in East Palo Alto. It was inspiring to connect with other changemakers making a positive impact in the lives of all in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park (Belle Haven). We're so grateful for PACF's generous partnership, enabling us to provide on-campus mental health support to Ravenswood City School District students free of charge – ensuring all our local youth have the social and emotional support they need to succeed and thrive.

We did it! Today marked the last day of 180 days of instruction this school year. As a culmination of the hard work of the entire Ravenswood community – and, most importantly, our incredible students – we held our annual promotion ceremonies all week. From TK students to 8th graders heading off to high school, please join us in congratulating all of our students for their growth this year! ¡Lo hicimos! Hoy marcó el último día de 180 días de instrucción este año escolar. Como culminación del arduo trabajo de toda la comunidad de Ravenswood y, lo más importante, de nuestros increíbles estudiantes, celebramos nuestras ceremonias de promoción anuales durante toda la semana. Desde estudiantes de TK hasta estudiantes de 8º grado que van a la escuela secundaria, ¡únase a nosotros para felicitar a todos nuestros estudiantes por su crecimiento este año!

May is Bike & Roll to School Month (with over 1,800 events nationwide!) and Belle Haven celebrated with a Perfection on Wheels assembly. Students had a front row seat to a BMX Stunt Show, where bicyclists shared their talents and promoted safety and awareness. We want everyone in the Ravenswood community to recognize the importance of safe, active, and accessible transportation to school. Mayo es el mes de ir en bicicleta a la escuela (¡con más de 1,800 eventos en todo el país!) y Belle Haven lo celebró con una asamblea de Perfection on Wheels. Los estudiantes tuvieron un asiento en primera fila para un espectáculo de acrobacias de BMX, donde los ciclistas compartieron sus talentos y promovieron la seguridad y la concientización. Our middle school mariachi band took home first place at the Knott's Berry Farm competition! Ravenswood students amaze us every day with their passion, talent, and celebration of culture. Congratulations to our CCRMS lions and music director Jordan Mitchell! ¡Nuestra banda de mariachi de la escuela secundaria se llevó a casa el primer lugar en la competencia de Knott's Berry Farm! As we close out Classified Staff Appreciation Week, we want to celebrate our dedicated Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation (MOT) team! As one principal put it, they are "the first ones to open campus and the last one to close up shop." Whether it's getting our students to and from school, or keeping our campuses safe and welcoming, the Ravenswood Promise wouldn't be possible without their tireless efforts. Thank you MOT, and thank you to every single one of our classified staff members for your contributions to our community! Happy Classified Staff Appreciation Week! Today we are highlighting our school support staff who help us fulfill our Promise to students. From our outreach and student culture coordinators, to our administrative assistants and student supervisors, these team members make Ravenswood an amazing place to live and learn. As our principals put it, they are "the heartbeat of our schools" who "make sure everything runs smoothly with a beautiful student-centered culture." Thank you for all that you do! ¡Feliz semana de agradecimiento al personal clasificado! Hoy destacamos a nuestro personal de apoyo escolar que nos ayuda a cumplir nuestra Promesa a los estudiantes. Desde nuestros coordinadores de extensión y cultura estudiantil hasta nuestros asistentes administrativos y supervisores estudiantiles, estos miembros del equipo hacen de Ravenswood un lugar increíble para vivir y aprender. Happy Classified Staff Appreciation Week! Our work of bringing the Ravenswood Promise to life would not be possible without these incredible team members. Today we are highlighting our dedicated Child Nutrition Education (CNE) staff. From providing students with delicious and nutritious meals, to being another kind and supportive adult on campus, these team members are a vital part of #OneRavenswood. We even have alumni coming back to thank our CNE staff for being a part of their school experience! What a powerful testament to the impact that every one of us can have on students, no matter our role. ¡Feliz semana de agradecimiento al personal clasificado! Nuestro trabajo de hacer realidad la Promesa de Ravenswood no sería posible sin estos increíbles miembros del equipo. Hoy destacamos a nuestro dedicado personal de Educación sobre Nutrición Infantil (CNE). Desde brindar a los estudiantes comidas deliciosas y nutritivas hasta ser otro adulto amable y solidario en el campus, estos miembros del equipo son una parte vital de #UnRavenswood. ¡Incluso tenemos exalumnos que regresan para agradecer a nuestro personal de CNE por ser parte de su experiencia escolar! It's testing season, and our students are ready to demonstrate their learning! Costaño recently held a pep rally to get everyone excited about this opportunity to grow together. We celebrated our students who met or exceeded state standards last year, and remembered to focus on PAWS: - P for perseverance - A for attitude - W for will, and - S for test-taking strategies We are proud of our students for embracing the Ravenswood Promise of approaching learning with a growth mindset! ¡Es temporada de exámenes y nuestros estudiantes están listos para demostrar su aprendizaje! Costaño recientemente realizó una reunión de motivación para que todos se entusiasmaran con esta oportunidad de crecer juntos.
