My initial impression during the job interview was already positive, as I was introduced to the company's values and vision in such a comprehensive way. This initial introduction was incredibly attractive and sparked my desire to join the team. From day one, I've been surrounded by a wonderful group of people who make working in a fintech company a lovely experience. I immediately felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and beliefs. My colleagues' respectful and positive attitude creates a safe environment that allows me to express my identity, ideas, and feelings openly. This inclusive environment has significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth. SumUp has been instrumental in supporting my career progression and personal development goals. Joining the Tech and Transaction team for the UK-Ireland markets has taught me how to deal with people and express myself assertively. As the leader of the Pride Club, I've developed my leadership skills and organised impactful events with the company's support. This role has allowed me to promote a positive mindset within our community while maintaining transparency and honesty. I also took advantage of our learning budget to explore data literacy. Although I realised it wasn't my passion, this experience helped me understand my true interests, steering me towards a path that brings me happiness and fulfilment. I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore different fields and discover my real career aspirations. Within my team, we collaborate closely to achieve our goals. Despite our diverse backgrounds, which can sometimes lead to communication challenges, we've created an environment where open dialogue and problem-solving are encouraged. Our management has been supportive in helping us navigate these challenges effectively. Introducing Camilla Iniari Fonseca Chabuh, our Senior Project Analyst in the Operations team in Sāo Paulo. Camilla is responsible for creating and improving processes that help make the lives of SumUp's merchants easier. She's also one of the leaders of the Identidades TQI network, an employee resource group that provides a safe space for trans, queer, and intersex people 🏳️⚧️ "I embarked on my journey with SumUp 5 years ago as a support agent. I was known as the "Town Hall girl" for being very vocal in the company forums, always advocating for innovation and improvement to elevate our merchants' experience with SumUp. Transitioning into the Projects team, I immersed myself in a collaborative environment, where we worked at streamlining processes to benefit our merchants and enhance agent productivity. Over the years, I've gained a lot of experience through continuous learning, which has helped me progress to my current position as a Senior Analyst. We're given a lot of autonomy here, which doesn't mean we work in silos but that our managers trust our ability to innovate and give us the space to do it. Everyone here is super talented and always willing to help. My team embraces a culture of openness, and we ask for feedback from fellow SumUppers to refine our ideas and foster collaboration. Beyond my usual work routine, I take immense pride in co-leading the TQI network. Creating a welcoming environment for the trans, queer, and intersex community is crucial at SumUp.
