Slow response to lost part

My initial enquiry was about a part, although the person said they would investigate (photo supplied for their clarification). I then waited almost 7 weeks, before contacting the same department, reminding them I was still waiting. This time a different person responded, and the thing was resolved within a week. Fortunately the part I was enquiring about was about a lost screw to outer shell of the mid drive motor, so the trike was still rideable. To the second person's credit, they dispatch this small screw free of charge.

Both my wife and myself have jorvik…

Both my wife and myself have jorvik trikes they are the best things that we have bought, only one down side there is no handle on the battery, it would be helpful to remove and refit.

Enjoying adventures with my hubby again

I have been looking at Jorvik etrikes for some time now and have contacted them several weeks ago. Recently I made the decision to purchase one. I contacted Jorvik via chat and received the information necessary to proceed. I purchased the trike plus accessories, paid by their payment method, received an invoice plus receipt. This was carried out very swiftly and efficiently. I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Jorvik. My husband has limited mobility and he is looking forward to exploring the parks and beaches in our area and also taking the trike in our camper for holidays. Thank you do much

I am a 67 year old man with a artificial leg I wanted to get back to cycling but was worried I would not manage as I was unable to try trike out. I was assured if it did not work out I would be able to return item no problem. Unfortunately on medical advice I was told it was not suitable.I had trike for about 5 days and rode it about 500 yards.I then packaged and returned trike at cost of £170.
Jorvik were very unhelpfull with return and gave me false information abut date I had to return by. They then informed me trike was damaged beyond repair and I could have no refund. I am currently over £3000 out of pocket. In my opinion don’t deal with this company as I found them to be unreasonable and misleading to put it politely.Wish I had read reviews before ordering and not trusted Jorvik

Found my freedom on 3 wheels

Recently I bought their JMT6 tricycle, I’ve had it about 5 months now and I absolutely love it! Before purchasing I visited their showroom and test rode quite a few tricycles till I found the perfect one for me. Staff were super welcoming and knowledgeable, there was no rush or pressure to buy, we had tea and biscuits, even my puppy Oscar got some treats.
I accidentally broke a part off my tricycle, the lovely lady Rosie couldn’t have been more helpful! They even sent me a new part for free.
Overall a great experience, would highly recommend, good old fashioned customer service.

Great experience and service

Great company for people looking to explore more of the world on three wheels. Staff are super helpful and knowledgable on every aspect of the bike and have been great with aftercare service as well. We first saw Jorvik at a show and was able to test ride twice which allowed us to make our minds up which would be best for us. Looking forward to being out this summer on our trikes.

How do I write a review for a product I…

How do I write a review for a product I will receive in August, and why five stars?
It all started with the question 'What do I want this trike to do?' I want to use it for local errands, to keep my fitness up in later life, allow me to spend a carefree day riding not toiling and for long distance bike packing/trekking, on and off road.
After spending time researching I found 'Jorvik Trikes' I was determined to try before buy, which in the trike world is very difficult. So my wife and I booked a few days in Yorkshire (nearly as nice as Gloucestershire :-) ) and booked a showroom visit. We met James (the boss) and then spent ninety minutes going through the in and outs of triking. I had already settled on the JMT13, so most of the time was spent discussing and riding it. James encouraged me to try other models to compare. I must say his enthusiasm for the product, and triking in general really shows through. I recommend this for anyone with impaired mobility as there's a model for most of us.
So on to the purchase, which is where Emma, Rosie and Florence came in. Between them they answered a few questions over the chatline, then over the phone to sort out the financial side.
Overall I have found Jorvik to be enthusiastic, informative, helpful and friendly.
So five stars, and Iooking forward to August.

A great trike and overall good experience with Jorvik

I bought my trike 3 years ago. Got great advice and am more than happy with it.
Recently the lcd screen stopped working. Jorvik initially suggested getting the trike serviced locally as we live in Nottingham. However we could not find anyone who services trikes either at a shop or as a mobile servicer. In spite of Decathlon advertising they sell Jorvik trikes.
We decided to take the trike to their workshop in York.
The experience was excellent. All done quickly including replacement of the screen. There is a large carpark which is useful as we took a trailer. We will always go straight to Jorvik for servicing in the future.
One small comment. The lcd screen has a facility to change certain information eg km to miles etc. I had misplaced my manual so looked on YouTube for instructions. I couldn't find the method even though there is a brief demonstration of how to use the screen. This does not include changing information on time, units etc. I remembered it isn't difficult but not intuitive. We eventually found the manual so problem solved.

Overall a good experience with Jorvik but if you are thinking of buying an electric trike make sure you can easily get it serviced.

Had a great experience with Jorvik. I am really useless when it comes to anything … the Jorvik girls could not have been more helpful .. I have asked some seriously stupid questions and they have been really patient and amazingly helpful .

Love my tricycle it’s great quality and the service has been great 👍

Fantastic quality mountain trike

4 stars due to an over promise on delivery but when I pointed this out, the company went above and beyond to put things right.

The trike itself is superb. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and increasingly find exercise difficult. The electric mountain trike has opened up my world. I can exercise within my abilities and look forward to difficult terrain and hills. It's constantly admired. I totally love it.

I bought my trike back in March

I bought my trike back in March, I'm so happy with it, I just have to review it again! I love the rugged wheels of the MT6, and the power that allows me to tackle the steepest hills, and smoothly coast along the cycle tracks of Cornwall and Devon. The trike is well engineered, sturdy and very well built. I've got my freedom back!

I Love my Trike but I don't like the design

I have Parkinsons and have owned 2 Jorvik trikes . My first one got stolen . I have to say that using the trike has liberated me a lot. but the design tends to be top heavy and I am using it in London mostly using cycle lanes. I have fallen off on at least 8 occasions ( so far no serious injuries just some painful bruising ). On two of the occasions the camber of the roads caused me to tip over. I have searched the internet for a trike with a lower centre of gravity and I have to say they are hard to find. I did find one in Canada but the price is too much. I saw the test track on the Jorvik web site and I realised that it never takes into account any pot holes or dodgy cambers so of course its a doodle to ride the tikes around the track.

Sadly we cant put holes in our lovely new indoor showroom floor but customers also have the outside track to which is on a gravel terrain and the road has a good camber allowing customers to try on all types of riding conditions.

Showroom visit

We visited the showroom today with our 20 year old son who has learning difficulties and Jorvik Tricycles could not have been more welcoming. We had the showroom to ourselves and the technical aspect of the bikes were discussed and there was plenty of time for him to try the bike out. It made us feel valued as a customer and all our questions were answered. I would strongly recommend you visit them as it is a big purchase but any fears you may have will be answered.

First experience from build to drive

As an update trike assembly was easy and even more impressed with the trike - its the JMt7 - really well constructed, excellent components and a LOT of thought has gone into build quality and the best components. HIGHLY recommend this model and so many interested neighbours in getting one as well. Well done Jorvik! Easy to ride and 250 watt motor more than enough power.

Sarah & Niamh from Bucks

My daughter and I visited the showroom yesterday from Buckinghamshire and were warmly welcomed. Niamh has mobility difficulties due to having Downs Syndrome so riding a manual trike in the past has been a good,however it is now time for an upgrade and after time researching together we opted for Jorvik electric folding tricycle mainly for the range and folding ability. We were not disappointed Niamh was a pro on the track,(me not so much I’m used to 2 wheels!! )Rosie was great at chatting and showing Niamh what it can do and her overall knowledge was very helpful.
Niamh cannot wait for it to arrive and to enjoy long dog walks and fun days out without being restricted through tiredness- a real lifeline!

Amazing facilities, staff and choice.

Amazing facilities. Having a test track was fabulous, and being allowed to try out so much of the range went a long way to helping us to choose the right trikes for us.
Rosie was wonderful- welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, supportive and so patient. We were even allowed to try out fitting a trike into our small van.
We had a wonderful day.

Ordered a tricycle on 27th Feb

Ordered a tricycle on 27th Feb, item showed as an in stock item therefore should have been dispatched next working day. Telephoned today 4th March to ask if they had any idea when delivery would be, as website states 3-5 days. Only to be told by a really rude customer service member that the item was out of stock and we would now be looking at towards end of March. Rude person in customer service insisted that item would have been showing as out of stock and simply would not believe what I was telling her. We now have to wait for this item another 3 weeks or so. It is a birthday present, the person chose the colour ( there was only 2 colours in stock ) and now we have to tell her that it won't be there for her on her birthday. Really p####d off with customer service person, and if it weren't for the fact that this was chosen specifically by the birthday girl I would cancel.

Would I recommend this company to others ? Not a chance. Really disappointed.

Unfortunately 3 stars. 1 star for design/style. 2nd quality of parts 3rd star comfort.

Reason for not getting the two other stars is

1st none I paid in full. No communication and major delays got a £50 voucher because of delays true but items not so good. Plus the waterproof back box zip broke within months

2nd none star is terrible after sales service. Parts failure not their fault manufacturer's fault but after several emails was not happy with the end result.
