Even when I buy from HMV online I…

Even when I buy from HMV online I always click and collect, I usually have a chat with the person who serves me, she lets me know what's happening regarding album launches in the shop etc. A proper music shop for people, who music matters to.

Excellent service when replacing faulty vinyl.

I purchased a vinyl LP in store which unfortunately turned out to be warped and had a skip on one track.

I asked for a replacement to be ordered as there was not another copy available. I was kept up to date via email on the tracking of the replacement (order, despatch and delivery) which was prompt, and the item was immediately available at the front desk when I went to collect.
A very efficient process all round.

Nostalgic! Always feels like going back to the 90's!

The size of the store is a essential component, as it gives 'HMV' the ability to display more items. The store layout & interior design is also relaxing for me. The staff are also great, as they are not you're typical sales staff trying to push items in you're face, but rather more passionate about what they are selling, instead of being passionate about just selling. 'HMV' to me, really is a cultural playground for like minded people interested in preserving the in-store shopping experience, which is fills you with excitement & joy. What I would love to see in store would be, display screens showing new entertainment & music videos. Help to really take it back to that 90's in store shopping experience. I really do love the experience of 'HMV'.

Good Service

Easy to order, kept updated by email on the progress of my order, was emailed when the merchandise was ready for collection.

It was so easy to order on line being…

It was so easy to order on line being able to pay through Kalarna and the the record was on my doorstep on the day of release now that’s service Thankyou

I’m starting to really love HMV again

I’m starting to really love HMV again, starting to give Amazon and local record shops a little bit more competition. Some really good vinyl in the sale at reasonable prices. Also great that you can pick up for free from your local HMV! 👍🏼😊

Always a delight

Cardiff HMV is always wonderful, the staff are friendly, welcoming and share a knowledge of the products. Would definitely recommend going in and checking their wide range of products.

Great gal you have at your store, thank you

Hi, I shop at your store in Uxbridge regularly. I yesterday Sept 2nd 2024 returned a pair of MIXX headphones that was broken. The girl who helped me I cannot remember her name, but she has short hair, a nose ring and is awesome. She did find something which is my fault, so I apologize to her. I brought the wrong box and wrong receipt for the headset that was broken, regardless she took it back I upgraded a bit, but once again your staff there ALWAYS GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Thank you, I will go there today with the correct packaging and receipt if it makes a difference.

Brilliant HMV quality and service 👏!!

Quick service and ONCE AGAIN, this was cheaper to buy brand new from HMV ( last tango in Halifax 1-5 series) than buying from another 3 letter high street store that
sells second-hand , and starts with C and ends in X ...well done, HMV! You keep beating your rivals by selling goods cheaper, brand new! What's not to love about that then?! FABULOUS!

So this was my first experience at the…

So this was my first experience at the new edition of FOPP, a store I have loved in its past incarnations despite always spending far too much money on a visit. The recent visit proved to be no exception, the choice, the temptation, the wonderful friendly, helpful and informative staff - they were great. I’ll be back.

Wow! Vault is cool!

The Vault in Birmingham is a fantastic store with an incredible selection of vinyl, CDs and DVDs. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I found exactly what I was looking for. A great experience

A very satisfied customer

I ordered a cd, in store.
Confirmation of my request was emailed to me, and was kept up to date until the order arrived in store for my collection.
All staff helpful and friendly as times before.

Easy transaction

Everything from start to finish went really well. It was easy to order the records I wanted and arranged to pick them up from my local branch. They kept me informed of the status of my order and when they would be able to be picked up.

Free delivery on my order which was…

Free delivery on my order which was great. I love HMV and want to keep them going. Love browsing in the shops mainly, but it's good to order online sometimes too if it's something I want quickly.

Feel let down. Totally

Spent a fortune trying to call someone just to be stuck in a never ending queue. Finally git hold of someone but as I couldn't initially find out what your disabled access was had to buy two tickets so that my daughter and I could get in. When seated we were in a pen to one side where we couldn't see all of the band we went to see. A lady complained as we were seated there were people in front so we couldn't see! Feel totally let down and wished I hadn't bothered driving from Spalding Lincolnshire

Delayed dispatch meant the present arrived late, but customer services managed to salvage the situation

The website said dispatch is within 24h for in stock items, I placed my order on the Tuesday, one item dispatched on the same day, one two days later and one not until the following Monday. Items were dispatched after contacting customer services so not too sure if that had an impact on it or not. The item dispatched on the Monday was needed for a birthday Sunday and was late.

Would’ve given 1 star however my experience was made slightly better after contacting the customer service team. Good job to Ian on retaining a customer with the support given. -2 stars due to delayed dispatch resulting in a present not arriving on time.

Can't get replacement for damaged goods

Biggish order, with 1 item appeared to be damaged before dispatch. But you have to re-order this item, ie you have to pay again until HMV receive the damaged 1 back. & as it was part of an offer, what if the deal had ended so would have had to pay full price or wait for a deal again. Need to do better.
