Switch between channels on a Google Account

You can manage up to 100 channels from one Google Account. Learn how to use Brand Accounts to manage your YouTube channels.

Switch between channels

On YouTube, you can only use one channel at a time. Use the instructions below to switch between the YouTube channels that you have connected to the same Google Account.

Subscribe to the YouTube Viewers channel for the latest news, updates, and tips.

When you sign in to YouTube on mobile, you'll be prompted to choose a channel to use.

To switch to a different channel that you manage:

  1. Go to your profile picture .
  2. Tap the arrow next to your name.

  3. Tap on a channel in the list to start using that account.

You can always check your Account to confirm what channel you're currently using.

I have permission to access to a channel, but it doesn't show up in the list

If your channel isn't showing, go to studio.youtube.com to switch channels.

I have a channel linked to a Brand Account, but it doesn't show in the list.

If your channel isn't showing, the Google Account you're currently signed in to isn't listed as a manager of that channel's Brand Account.

To fix the problem: Follow these instructions to add your Google Account as a manager of the Brand Account connected to that channel.

If you want to remove a channel from this list

Note: If you see an option that shows your email address instead of a name, this lets you use YouTube as a viewer without a channel. You can't remove it, but you can use that option to create a new channel that will use the name you’ve selected for your Google account.
