Share Google Photos with other apps using the Photo Picker

Manage access to Google Photos in the Photo Picker

Important: When you allow Google Photos to grant access to your photos and videos to an app, you give Google Photos permission to share your backed up photos and videos with that app. Learn how to backup photos and videos.

You can share photos and videos you back up from Google Photos in the Photo Picker. To set Google Photos as the cloud provider:

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. At the top, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Photos Settings and then Apps & devices and then Google Photos access.
  4. Tap Photo Picker.
  5. Select Allow or Don’t allow.

Tip: If you’re logged into multiple Google Accounts in Photos, you can choose which account the Photo Picker will have access to.
