Since a few weeks I use Google Contacts. Earlier I used the contacts from my phone, Huawei Mate 10 Pro. In there you can just tap on the letter on the right side instead of having to drag the bar down which takes much longer. Personally, I find it better and more efficient to tap on a letter instead of swiping down to it. Sadly, I couldn't find a setting for that in Google Contacts. Please enable an option where you can choose whether you want a bar or the alphabet listed on the right side.

Useful app but a recent update introduced an unwanted "feature" that is going to require a lot of time to correct. After the update, all of my contacts are now set to route to voicemail. That explains why I am getting voicemail messages without hearing my phone ring! Why would that be the default? Worse yet, there does not seem to be a way to change this setting for all contacts. I have to manually open every contact and change the setting. This is preposterous and ignorant of user needs.

I don't use this. I always enter phone numbers in the phone app. Which apparently "talks" to this app now (pixel 1 did not, meaning you'd have duplicates of contact entries). Don't see the point to have this when the same data is in googles phone app. Disabled this app, uninstalled updates and rooted to disable it completely. No issues 1 month later.
