Since a few weeks I use Google Contacts. Earlier I used the contacts from my phone, Huawei Mate 10 Pro. In there you can just tap on the letter on the right side instead of having to drag the bar down which takes much longer. Personally, I find it better and more efficient to tap on a letter instead of swiping down to it. Sadly, I couldn't find a setting for that in Google Contacts. Please enable an option where you can choose whether you want a bar or the alphabet listed on the right side.

After latest update this uneeded Voicemail options under ALL my contacts are set to ROUTE TO VOICEMAIL!? Why default is not the other way round blows my mind. PLEASE TELL ME support that i do not have to change this to DO NOT ROUTE TO VOICEMAIL manually for each individual contact. That I've missed a setting. I missed very important calls from private govt numbers, as my phone did not ring. I only knew calls came via 'you have a voicemail' in the messages app. Phone app has enuff options re VM

Five years after my previous review, the design has changed but the app still lacks very basic functions and the UI is highly unintuitive. "Others contacts" are not being shown, once the group is selected in the accounts filter, the rendered view is empty saying that contact list is empty, but the contact could be found using the search. Contacts could not be removed from "My Contacts" group(moving them into "Other contacts"). Also, it should be possible to sort the contacts by "File as" field.
