Very simple app, great catalog. But I sometimes encounter the problem, that I just can't close the app. It continues to play music even after I force close it. Need to open a video on YouTube to get it stop playing and restart the phone to get it running properly again. Casting doesn't find devices sometimes. Very buggy overall!

One of the simplest podcast apps I've tried. It is good about remembering where you are in a podcast, and which you have listened to, which doesn't seem that tough but I've had bad experiences with others. My biggest problem with Google Podcasts is that it will always try to play the next podcast in the series, even if you haven't downloaded it, which leads to large data usage if you aren't paying attention.

I like this app significantly less since the new layout and it seems to get worse every week. It forgot about all the episodes I've listened to in the past and even ones that I've listened to recently are not shown as "listened to". The new layout and library of saved podcast is not intuitive or efficient at all. I wish we could switch back to how it was a few months ago.

What's new
Google Podcasts now supports adding podcasts by RSS feed! Open the app and navigate to Activity, and then to the Subscriptions tab. Select the three dots in the top right corner and then "Add by RSS Feed." Once added, the podcast will appear along with your other subscribed shows, including at the top of the Home tab.
