Dear Wikibase community.

This year was full of releases and updates from our side, but we have another one to come here just before the year ends. 

In Spring WMDE ran a small series of workshops naming ‘Ecosystem enablement workshops with the Wikibase stakeholder group’.

The first workshop was held in April with the goal to gather external developers and set up a productive Wikibase extension development environment. 

The second workshop took place by the end of May, and it was hosted by Adam Shorland and Jakob Warkotsch. The goal of this workshop was to equip developers with the initial tools to set up a Wikibase extension, and a high-level understanding of existing interfaces, policies and examples. A big part of the workshop consisted of a collective programming exercise session.
