Cherish this

1) Waking up in the morning- To open your eyes and see another day is a blessing. There is absolutely no telling of how many of those beautiful sunrises you have left, or how many days you can wake up and just listen to the rain. Cherish this.

2) Looking in the mirror- Whether it’s checking our appearances or taking the casual mirror selfie, to look in a mirror is to see you. To see how wonderful you look today, wearing makeup or not. Cherish this.

3) Busy Days- Days where you seem to have almost TOO much on your place keep the pace going for the day and keep you on your feet. Put some headphones in, turn on some good music, and make the day upbeat. Cherish this.

4) Lazy Days- Waking up, only to instantly hit your pillow again. These are days to live for. Whether you plan on binge-watching the latest season of your favorite show or simply sleeping, make the best out of it- because you’ve EARNED it. Cherish this.

5) Eating a wonderful meal- As you sink your teeth into it, or eat it with a fork, spoon, or chopsticks, good food is never wasted. You have a delicacy in front of you, and now YOU get to devour it. Cherish this.

6) Listening to your favorite music- Nirvana, Lana Del Rey, Coldplay, Adele, Sublime, The Beatles, Drake. Nothing beats just lying on your floor as your music plays. As you digest every lyric, memorize every tune. Your music taste is unique and is completely you. Use these songs and artists to lift you up on bad days and help you make others stellar. Cherish this.

7) Hanging out with your friends- Whether you have one close friend or a large group, make sure to spend as much time as you possibly can with them. They are the people you will share some of your best experiences with. Make sure to make them feel appreciated, but make sure you always feel the same. Cherish them.

8) Spending time with your family- Sitting down and eating a meal, or simply watching a funny movie together can make some of the most ordinary moments some of the best. Never forget to thank your family for what they do for you. They are and will always be part of you and what helped shape you. Cherish them.

9) Evenings and sleep- As cotton candy skies float past and turn into darkness and stars, make sure to capture the essence with your eyes and mind. It’s a truly beautiful experience that can’t be beat. Take a few pictures while your at it even. Falling asleep knowing that you have such vast, beautiful scenery above you is so comforting and lovely. Cherish this.

10) YOU- YOU are an original. YOU are nothing like anyone else on this planet, and deserve every wonderful thing under the stars. Do not let anyone else attempt to tell you different. Do not let anybody stomp on you, because you are better than that. Even though things may seem bleak right now, don’t worry. It does, in fact, get better. It is okay to cry, it is okay to feel. You will do this. I love you. Cherish YOU.

Lovely thoughts and so true. I had a close call with death recently and am recovering. One of the ways I can rejoice in the beauty on the world while in recovery, is through this web site.
