Wladimiro was born in Messina, Sicily to Giovanni and Rosalia Calarese. Wladimiro obtained his Ph.D. from New York University. Wladimiro worked for the American Government for 34 years, 25 of which were spent at Wright Pat Air Force base. He made many contributions to scientific research and acted as Chief Scientist at the end of his career. He published over 100 scientific publications worldwide. |

Wladimiro Calarese (3 October 1930 – 13 August 2005) was an Italian fencer. He won two bronze medals at the 1960 Summer Olympics and a silver at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics.[1][2]
