Open questions:

  • Should a photograph be included for each stations or not? If not, should there be a gallery or similar with photographs from selected stations? List of London Underground stations follows the first model, List of Munich U-Bahn stations follows the second.
  • Should closed and under-construction stations be included in this table or listed separately? List of Oslo Metro stations lists closed (but not under-construction?), List of London Underground stations doesn't (in fact, closed stations are listed nowhere on that page. But London also has quite a lot of closed stations, Stockholm only has one). Maybe it's best to have 3 tables: one for currently opened stations, one for closed, one for under-construction.
  • In the "grade" column, should "Underground" be split into "Cut and cover" (betongstation) and "Deep underground" (Bergstation)? Swedish Wikipedia does it that way, and which type a station belongs to does say a lot about the station. But there seem to be no English Wikipedia lists listing the station type?
  • Should distances be given from Slussen/Kungsträdgården or T-Centralen?
  • What counts as an "elevated" station? Is Abrahamsberg one, even though it's not on an embankment and not a viaduct? Following the listings in the existing list for now
  • What counts as a terminus? Are Odenplan and Vällingby termini if some trains terminate there?
  • Should the "Line" column list only the colour or the branch as well? If the branch is listed, can the services be skipped entirely?
  • Should "stations where lines diverge" be considered transfer stations (as in the current list)? Should stations with different colour-lines but where lines don't "cross" not be?
  • Should transfer stations list the total ridership figure or list the figure for each line?

Notes

[edit]
  1. ^ Alfredsson, Berndt & Harlén 2000 only lists the distance between each station and the kilometre zero for each line (Slussen for the Green and Red lines, Kungsträdgården for the Blue line). The way to calculate the distance between a given Station X and T-Centralen depends on the order in which Station X, T-Centralen and the kilometre zero appear on the line:
    1. The order is "T-Centralen – (kilometre zero) – Station X". Here the distance to T-Centralen is "distance between T-Centralen and kilometre zero" + "distance between kilometre zero and Station X". This applies to the Green and Red line stations south of Slussen, as well as to the future Blue line stations south of Kungsträdgården.
    2. The order is "T-Centralen – Station X – (kilometre zero)". Here the distance to T-Centralen is "distance between T-Centralen and kilometre zero" − "distance between Station X and kilometre zero". This applies to Gamla stan (Green and Red lines) and Kungsträdgården (Blue line).
    3. The order is "Station X – T-Centralen – (kilometre zero)". Here the distance to T-Centralen is "distance between station and kilometre zero" − "distance between T-Centralen and kilometre zero". This applies to all other stations.
  2. ^ Temporary station opened on 19 November 1958
  3. ^ Temporary station opened on 1 November 1956
  4. ^ Temporary station opened on 22 November 1954
  5. ^ Metro station opened this date; tram services on what is now the metro line had been in place since 30 September 1933.
  6. ^ Temporary station opened on 9 September 1951
  7. ^ Temporary station opened on 26 October 1952
