Dimps as a developer?

I know Dimps co-developed Street Fighter IV with Capcom, but is there any news that cited that they are also developing Street Fighter X Tekken? I think maybe we should wait a while until news came out before we affirm that Dimps is on it. What do you guys think about it? Fendrly (talk) 19:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[]

Yeah. It's obviously the same engine co-developed by Dimps and Capcom yet there isn't any source to verify that the former has ties to the project. True that we should wait. The Phantomnaut (talk) 07:57, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[]
The last editor has changed the developer to Dimps. I changed it again to Capcom. Since there is no oficial release or news about Dimps involvement in this game (other than making the engine that Capcom semms to be using in the game, which doesn't characterize being a producer), Capcom is still the only official producer of the game. Jin is not confirmed yet

Whoever put Jin in there, I watched that video, & it did not show Jin gameplay or such. Please do not put characters there unless there is proof, other than just a mention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.93.1.189 (talk) 23:57, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[]

PC/Windows Version

There isn't one, at least not yet. Capcom's own Senior VP Christian Svensson has confirmed that any mention of a PC version back in April was simply due to a typo. D3v4st4t0r (talk) 3:39, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Ibuki and Kuma

I understand that Ibuki and Kuma are being added to the character list, however, we do not have any solid evidence of them yet. Yes, I have seen the teaser trailers, but until we actually get anything saying directly that it's them, then we shouldn't add them. Anyone else agree? 88.109.27.185 (talk) 18:11, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[]

Yup. According to rules such as WP:CRYSTAL and WP:OR, we shouldn't add characters to the list based on the teaser trailers, even if the characters are extremely obvious. WANI ♪♫♪ 22:19, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[]

For the record, Ibuki and Kuma have been officially announced as of today and are now in the article as confirmed characters. --FLStyle (talk) 23:52, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[]

Asuka and Lili

Why it is mentioned that Asuka and Lili are confirmed to be in the game and rivals to someone, they are not in the table and it's not confirmed as far as i'm concerned. 77.253.74.171 (talk) 07:52, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[]

Deleted - In addition to being unconfirmed the section in question had no references. --FLStyle (talk) 11:38, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[]
Okay experts, how about this: http://videogaymers.com/forum/blog.php/?p=200 posted directly by the developer himself , besides the community has known this for at least more than a month. 137.120.238.48
That doesn't count and you know it. It is not official, there is nothing on the website. 88.109.19.144 (talk) 18:25, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[]
Okay I get it, even though everyone knows the character is in the game including the developer of the game, we won't update Wikipedia because of these rules. Besides this really makes Wikipedia a better place because this game hasn't been released yet, making the sole purpose of this whole article news based, but we won't keep it fresh en up to date with the latest developments because we also have perfect rules to help keep Wikipedia nice a neat. Is it on the website, yes or no? I'm sure you can spend an afternoon deleting half the article because it isn't exactly on the website either. Which could be a good thing, but not regardless if this weakens the whole Wikipedia experience. But allay we are in just, we have Wikipedia law. I salute you. More official than this (http://p.twipple.jp/rs2Tm and http://www.capcom-unity.com/street_fighter/blog/2011/11/03/sfxt_dev_blog:_heading_into_the_home_stretch_of_production) it won't get until of course the news is old and dated. 137.120.238.48
You clearly do not understand how Wikipedia works. There has been no official confirmation of Asuka's presence. Do you see anywhere in the article that says "Asuka is in Street Fighter X Tekken"? Do you see her profile on the official SFxT website? No. All we have is that picture which does not count. Why does it not count? Because it is not the same as saying "Yes, she's in the game". For all we know, it could be a fake teaser image, like the teaser trailers. In other words, unless you have an official confirmation that she is in the game, do not re-add her. Understand? 79.70.127.233 (talk) 18:09, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[]
I read clearly that she is in the game yes, from the developer himself thank you. If you can't read between lines then I feel sorry for you. But it seems you are pretty clueless to me, because developers that produce fake screenshots of their own game, saying I got the latest build would be the same as posting it on the website than saying it was a fake teaser. Also in your view, this isn't confirmation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDCx_dWxdN8 Now let's wait until they update their website, maybe this is a fake trailer. I know I won't. Thank you for making Wikipedia a dull and outdated place and blocking people who can provide interesting and inside information from it as a result. A star after a name, that reads not 100% officially confirmed, could perhaps cure these "Wikipedia rules" but hey, one can only help those that want to be helped. We are a month later now and it is what it is. 137.120.238.48 (talk) 08:44, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[]
If you do not watch that attitude of yours, you are going to be blocked. You are the minority here. There are many established members here who know the rules off by heart, who know that official evidence is needed. Yes, the rules are complicated, but they are there for a reason. "Reading between lines", as you put is, is just asking for trouble. You simply cannot do this. I have at least one person who'll back me up on this claim, and, frankly, you're borderline of harrasment. Besides, you're too late. Asuka has now been officially confirmed. So stop acting like you run the place. You don't. 88.109.19.128 (talk) 00:07, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[]
Furthermore, I suggest that you read these articles, WP:NOR or WP:V, before snapping at us. 88.109.19.128 (talk) 00:15, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[]
Wikipedia holds a certain policy. "The threshold for inclusion is verifiability, not truth". It's not that we choose not to "read between the lines". We don't want to create a "dull and outdated place." Our ultimate goal as Wikipedians is to provide accurate, but verifiable information. Many of the policies that we have mentioned several times here before, namely WP:OR, WP:V, and WP:CRYSTAL, are built from this foundation. If you cannot accept this, then you are free to go and edit other wikis, such as the Street Fighter or Tekken wikis. I'm sure that you will feel that your efforts will be better spent there. Furthermore, please refrain from calling people "clueless", and such, in the future. This can be discerned as a personal attack on another editor, and as stated above, you can be blocked.WANI ♪♫♪ 04:31, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[]

Please refrain from adding characters until officially confirmed - No Original Research on Wikipedia

Teasers trailers are not confirmation. The majority of edits on this page seem to be the adding and undoing of unconfirmed characters. This page is for confirmed characters only, no matter how much a character looks recognisable from a previous Street Fighter or Tekken title. For more information please read Wikipedia:No original research, thanks. --FLStyle (talk) 23:23, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[]

Are you sure about that? Every character who has been in teasers trailers so far end up being confirmed characters, so I can't see why characters from teaser trailers can't be added. Kokoro20 (talk) 13:08, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[]
Because they've not been proven. They're only proven when they appear in gameplay footage. Besides, Dan was shown in the very first trailer, and he's been confirmed as NOT being in the game...so it doesn't always work. 88.109.20.1 (talk) 21:17, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[]

Anonymous playtester posts that Balrog, Vega, Cody, Guy, Sakura, Blanka, Asuka, Jin, Law, Bryan, and Alisa are in the current build of the game. Keep ears tuned for official confirmation.--Remurmur (talk) 11:33, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[]

New York Comic-con - North America & Europe releases confirmed, Gem system confirmed, Rufus confirmed

From the 2011 New York Comic Con, Source is IGN - http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/120/1200455p1.html

Air Combo

And, without trying to sound rude, this has relevence.....how? When just about all of Capcom's fighting games have air combos? 85.210.181.170 (talk) 16:15, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[]
If any gameplay mechanic had relevance for the article, it would be the Gem System due to the controversy its announcement caused.--FLStyle (talk) 16:24, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[]

Rufus and Asuka

If I remember correctly, Rufus was first hinted to us in a trailer involving him and the already previously confirmed Zangief, Bob and Julia. I seem to recall that we did not use this trailer as "confirmation" of his inclusion and he was not included onto the actual article until actual gameplay videos (plus his personal bio) had appeared on the website.

Asuka seems to be exactly the same...a trailer involving her, Lili, Chun-Li and Cammy. At the moment, though, that is all that exists. Therefore, surely we should treat her as we did Rufus, and wait until we see gameplay videos of her. It gets tiresome continuously having to edit the page, removing her. 88.109.31.106 (talk) 18:54, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[]

Agreed. --FLStyle (talk) 21:30, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[]
Screenshots and gameplay videos of Asuka have surfaced, she can now be added. http://www.fightersgeneration.com/screens/sfxt-asuka.htm --FLStyle (talk) 00:27, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[]

Weren't Cody and Guy in this game too? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.226.128.203 (talk) 19:15, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[]

No gameplay screenshots, no official artwork, no video reveals, not even a teaser trailer. The answer is no. So far. 88.109.29.177 (talk) 22:42, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[]
What do you mean by saying "not even a teaser trailer"? They appeared in the same trailer as Hugo and Poison. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.109.228.103 (talk) 00:46, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[]
...which is not even a teaser trailer, is it? It's just an advertisement made for the game, and Guy and Cody meerly make a cameo. Therefore, not proof. Besides, teaser trailers do not count as evidence anyway. Also, sign your name please. 88.109.20.150 (talk) 16:01, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[]
If it doesn't count as evidence, why do you recall for it? And I don't want to sign with my name because I don't have one, thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.125.27.75 (talk) 19:16, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[]
