The Kaiserslautern Zoo (German: Zoo Kaiserslautern, unitl 2003 Tierpark Siegelbach) is a zoo in the town of Kaiserslautern in Germany. The Zoo, founded 1968, and located in Siegelbach, became the town Zoo, after Siegelbach was integrated into Kaisreslautern in 1969.[3]
The Zoo is showing 600 animals from over 100 species, it presently covers 7 hectares (17.3 acres), and is planned to be developed to 16 hectares (39.5 acres) [3]
2003 was transfered from the town to a private company.
2005 was the year to open the new monkey house, and the establishing of a show with birds of prey.
In 2011 a farm with pet animals (Altgermanischen Frankenhof) was established, as well as a rehabilitation center for white storch.[3]
