"H.A.T.E.U" is a to be the third single released by American R&B singer Mariah Carey, from her 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel[2]. The song, produced and written by Carey, The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart.

Background

Carey announced at P.C. Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca, New York,where she performed there exclusivly, that H.A.T.E.U would be the third single to be released from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, where Carey sang 'H.A.T.E.U' also performed the first two single s from the album, Obsessed and I Want to Know What Love Is as well as Always Be My Baby and We Belong Together[3].

'H.A.T.E.U' is an abbreviation for Having A Typical Emotional Upset.

Remixes

Carey revealed that there will be a 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel' Remix album, which will feature remixes of every song on the album [4].

Promotion

Carey sang 'H.A.T.E.U' for the first time live on The Today Show, where she sang a four piece setlist [5] which also consisted of 'Obsessed', 'I Want To Know What Love Is' and Make It Happen.
