SM Entertainment and YouTube’s documentary takes you behind-the-scenes of the reborn “Dreams Come True,” and invites fans to a dance challenge on YouTube Shorts

Today, SM Entertainment and YouTube are officially releasing a YouTube Originals documentary called “Re:MASTERPIECE,” which provides a full behind-the-scenes look at the production of the LP new song, choreography and music video of the reborn K-pop masterpiece, “Dreams Come True.”

SM Entertainment and YouTube launched the Remastering Project back in November, and have been remastering K-pop music videos from the ‘90s and 2000s, and introducing them to the global K-pop fans on YouTube. The new “Dreams Come True” and “Re:MASTERPIECE” documentary are part of the Remastering Project and aim to help global K-pop fans gain a better understanding of the global phenomenon.

BoA, an exquisite singer-songwriter and prominent producer, actively participated in the remastering of “Dreams Come True,” a song performed by S.E.S. over 20 years ago. The new “Dreams Come True” is reborn with rearrangement by BoA and performance by aespa, SM’s newest female group to shake up the K-pop scene since their debut in 2020.

Along with the YouTube Originals, aespa is also inviting fans around the world to dance along with the group’s first dance challenge on YouTube Shorts.

Anyone can join the challenge by creating a 15-second YouTube Short right from the YouTube mobile app, covering the highlight dance moves from “Dreams Come True.” As part of the challenge, aespa will be spotlighting some of their favorite Shorts in a compilation video to be released in 2022. Participants are encouraged to use hashtags #DreamsComeTrue, #YouTubeShorts for their creations to be considered.* The “Dreams Come True” Challenge started on December 20 and ends on January 9, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. KST or 6:59 a.m. PT.
