About the Role:

Reporting directly to the VP, Global Communications and Consumer Engagement, the Senior Manager of Global Communications will support the development and oversee the execution of global communications initiatives, including agency management, strategic media partnerships, events, and activations.

In partnership with the VP of Communications and Consumer Engagement, the Senior Manager will implement the global communications strategy and be responsible for its execution.

This role is critical in enhancing brand awareness, fostering strong relationships with media partners, and supporting key retailers. It is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader to contribute to OLAPLEX's growth and success.

Strategy & Execution:

In partnership with VP, Communications and Consumer Engagement, support the development of the global communications strategy to drive brand awareness and equity among media, creators, consumers, retailers, industry leaders, and fashion/celebrity tastemakers.

  • Execute global digitally-integrated strategies and programs for product launches and brand initiatives to support products as well as high traffic moments
  • Develop in partnership with Director, Consumer Engagement, strong influencer strategies and guidance across programs for the local markets to activate to drive brand awareness and consideration
  • Create and actualize annual Global Communications calendar including launches, media relations and influencer guidelines, product storylines, strategic pitches, events, and partnerships for select product categories
  • Establish specific approach / guidelines for our different types or stages of markets (e.g., specific types of products to focus on, during specific moments)
  • Support the VP of Communications in the sourcing and onboarding of new agency partners, ensuring they are aligned with the brand's vision and values

Activations & Storytelling

  • Leverage a deep understanding of the global media eco-system including digital, influencers and traditional media, to create compelling storytelling, guide markets and ensure a consistent global brand image is delivered
  • Work closely with brand marketing to conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful events and activations that align with our global communications strategy
  • Partner with Product Marketing/Development, Creative, Social, Education, regional teams to ensure consistent and compelling communications messages and strategies are created and brand assets are developed
  • Lead the creation of press materials and work in partnership with cross functional teams to brief in visual assets for each respective program and ensure asset delivery to markets in a timely manner

Cross Functional/Leadership

  • Manage Global spokespeople and ambassador requests for interview and in-person appearances; liaise with market to manage their proposals, brief/prep ambassadors and travel into market with ambassadors as needed
  • Manage and provide clear direction to existing agency partners across multiple global markets (United States, Canada, UK, France, and future agencies)
  • Collaborate with brand marketers to create and execute programs that support specific and key retailers
  • Manage the international communications budget, in tandem with the program KPIs
  • Manage and oversee reporting and tracking platforms, identifying key insights to optimize brand strategy

About You:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in global communications with a track record of success in developing and executing communication strategies. Familiarity with the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle sectors is preferred.
  • Established network of media contacts in key global markets, specifically related to beauty, fashion, or lifestyle including journalists, editors, influencers, and industry insiders
  • Demonstrated experience in building and executing global communication plans that have delivered measurable results
  • Ability to think strategically and align communications efforts with broader organizational goals
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, e-commerce, and education
  • Drive for innovation and a creative approach to problem-solving, event ideation, and gifting
  • A self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of identifying and pursuing new opportunities

Our Total Rewards:

The annual base pay for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
