Job Description

We are seeking individuals with (or who are enrolled in) a master’s degree, PhD, or pre-doctoral program in speech-language pathology, psychology, or related fields and who have experience administering the Preschool Language Scales Fifth Edition (PLS-5) to English or Spanish-speaking children.

Essential Job Functions:

• Administration of in-person language evaluation of English-speaking or Spanish-speaking children enrolled in an NIH-funded study of cochlear implant outcomes.
• Scoring of evaluations.
• Individuals should have excellent communication skills, enabling clear and efficient communication with the research team regarding appointment scheduling and score submission.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Master’s or PhD candidates in Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, or related fields. Licensure is not required.
• Competence in the administration of the Preschool Language Scales to children who speak English or Spanish.
• Fluency in English or bilingual in English & Spanish.
• Basic computer skills.
• Training in human subject protection and good clinical practice for clinical trials is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to evaluate children at one or more of Lurie Children’s outpatient sites in Westchester, Northbrook, Arlington Heights, or Chicago.
