SafeHaven is seeking a Director of Development Operations.
This position is responsible for advancing fundraising through development department events, mid-level giving and monthly giving. Primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing all development events designed to raise funds and promote awareness as part of our annual fundraising program. Agency events include, but are not limited to, the annual Purple Party, In Good Company donor stewardship events, and various Third-Party Fundraisers.

The specific qualifications for this role are:
Works with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to create department goals and strategies for corporate and individual giving; identifies donor prospects and appropriate funding opportunities for current and long-term projects; and develops prospect action plans, proposals, and reports for individual giving.
Research and analyze individual donors and prospects to develop strategies for gift growth and/or acquisition. Utilize prospecting software to strategically target new audiences and have more effective proposals (responsible for the creation of all prospecting books).
Solicit, steward, cultivate, and prospect individual, corporate, and major gifts. Responsible for individual and corporate giving – managing, growing, and maintaining giving societies (SafeFutures).
Facilitates strong donor engagement.
Generate regular reporting as an ongoing measurement for fundraising – reconciling donations with finance through software.
With the Chief Philanthropy Officer, create and implement fundraising budgets and ensure progress throughout the year. Working to achieve short- and long-term goals.
Develop and execute strategies for improving donor retention, engaging lapsed donors, and researching and identifying new prospects.
Works with the entire development department as a team member and facilitates cohesive implementation of all strategies.
In tandem with the Director of Marketing, assists with the conception and content for collateral materials and/or digital solicitations, including giving through the website, direct mail campaigns, major gift and/or capital campaigns, and other marketing needs. Contributes development content for cohesive communications efforts.
Provide general oversight on all fundraising events (Development Manager is responsible for events).
Supervise and develop the Development Manager.
