Job Title: Design Coordinator

Reports to: Head of Product

Location: Santa Barbara, CA

The Role:

Assist the product creation and development team throughout various stages of the design process, from conceptualization to delivery, contributing to developing products that align with our brand’s vision and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support seasonal development calendar in partnership with designers/product line managers/product developers
• Creation of new seasonal CADs during the start of a new season and maintenance of the CADs with changes
• Artwork creation for trims (zipper, polybag, hang tags, logos, woven label, neck tape, etc…)
• Design and maintain the seasonal product catalog and manage edits with cross functional teams
• Assist with custom design program in creating designs and executing CADs and print files
• Assist with development packages and participate in all communication and follow up related to each package in partnership with the Designer and Product Development Team
• Maintain an active role in cross-functional meetings. Take notes and follow up on all outstanding issues
• Attend product fittings and take notes on changes to share with the team and update design packs and CADs as appropriate
• Assist with sample organization
• Assist with fabric library organization
• Assist department as needed on production creation and development tasks
• Manage and adhere to development and design calendar
• Participate in seasonal color direction and color palette building

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of design principles and be able to apply them in various mediums
• A B.A. in a fashion related subject
• You must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must live in the Santa Barbara area or be willing to relocate

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
