Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative Job Description Includes, but not limited to, the following: This role is something of a hybrid: we need a combination of a traditional administrative assistant and a medical assistant. We’re looking for someone who is capable with standard clerical tasks such as typing reports, filing documents, ordering supplies … and someone who can also schedule and manage client appointments, prepare medical reports, and even handle client specimens where needed. Individuals with a medical industry background are strongly preferred. Opportunities for growth/advancement widely available. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Typing, preparing, and collating reports Filing Managing databases Answering and taking calls Arranging and managing client appointments Implementing new procedures and systems Logging and processing bills or expenses Preparing medical/clinical reports Sorting mail Keeping client EMR information up to date Assist with billing tasks Ordering medical and office supplies Managing day-to-day functions of the office Collecting specimens Skills: Good computer skills (Microsoft Office) Data entry Good phone etiquette Experience (preferred but not required): Minimum one year of experience Experience in the medical field strongly preferred Experience in billing and medical terminology a plus Other Requirements
Negative TB test results within past year Physical Demands: The employee needs to be able to:
Sit for long periods of time
Type and view computer screen
Operate office equipment including phone, printer, copier, etc.
