We have an exciting opportunity for Benefits Counselors for a health plan company based in Ct. The purpose is to increase new and maintain existing membership of individual clients through proactive and responsive broker and client service. Whether you have your health insurance license or are interested in obtaining one, you are welcome to apply.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


1. Understand and maintain excellent working knowledge of products and services. Must be proficient regarding benefits, coverage, billing, payments and claim policies and procedures.

2. Works with Brokers/Individual policyholders to provide plan options for renewals and new business.

3. Provides telephone customer service and written communications to brokers and individual policyholders as required.

4. Logs all calls and interactions as required.

5. Performs other related projects as assigned.


TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must carry a Health Insurance license for Connecticut, (or be able to obtain during paid study/ training).
  • Internet speed must be 100 mbps or better, proof will be required.
  • Must be able to work full time (40 hours) between the operating hours of Monday - Friday 8am -7pm EST and Saturday 9am-3pm EST
  • At least 1 year of previous industry related experience in marketing, sales or client services preferred.
  • Familiarity with operation including claim, customer service billing and enrollment preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience preferred in Microsoft office products, Compass or Amisys, a plus.
  • Good problem-solving skills required for benefit interpretation for problem resolution.
  • Comfortable working a temporary position.
  • Comfortable starting in September.

Job Types: Temporary, Seasonal, Contract, Remote


Pay Range: $24.00-$26.50 an hour paid every Friday. Can opt in for benefits after probationary period.
