Responsibilities
The Aab Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position in cardiovascular research. The Department has long-standing strengths in vascular biology, cardiac biology, and platelets/thrombosis and successful applicants will have research themes that align with these interests. The Institute and medical center provide access to state-of-the art resources through both institute and medical center supported cores. This includes institute supported microscopy, microsurgery, and histology cores, as well as medical center supported functional genomics and flow cytometry cores, amongst many others. We seek candidates from diverse research backgrounds that are highly collaborative and can integrate with many established research programs in the Aab CVRI and throughout the medical center. Tenure status and rank depends on qualifications. Successful applicants will have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree/s, will be highly creative, and must have demonstrated exceptional scholarly success in their field. Demonstration of sustained grant or equivalent support is required for appointments at a mid-career or senior rank. Successful applicants are expected to build R01 or similar level funded research programs and develop regularly publish in peer reviewed journals.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $98,109 - $138,873 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
