As we continue to expand our reach, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to help advance our strategic business development goals. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for managing the accounts payable functions of the department for multiple entertainment entities within our portfolio including, but not limited to, reconciling accounts, managing relationships with vendors, and successfully developing and implementing accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will harbor an innate interest in helping to further the success of the accounting team.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and approves invoices, ensuring appropriate coding, documentation, and authorization prior to payment.
  • Develops and implements process improvements and automation to streamline accounts payable workflows and improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Reconciles accounts payable transactions and resolves any discrepancies or variances with vendors or internal stakeholders.
  • Manages the accounts payable team, including the assignment of work tasks and the monitoring of performance.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including maintaining vendor files, payment history, and supporting documentation for tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
  • Manages vendor relationships, including addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and negotiating favorable payment terms when applicable.
  • Collaborates with the accounting team to ensure accurate accruals, month-end closing, and financial reporting related to accounts payable.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally and executes special ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in accounts payable or related accounting role.
  • Supervisory experience directly managing team members preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookups, and other key analytical techniques) preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities, multiple locations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
