The YWCA team extends beyond the walls of our offices! Our friends at Deloitte helped pack hygiene kits at Streetwise earlier this month. Deloitte employees volunteered as part of the company’s 25th Impact Day. Deloitte is purposefully committed to helping to create positive change for employees and the community.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Ann Lurie, an inspirational leader in philanthropy across Chicago. Ann's leadership, service, and generosity within the pediatric healthcare space touched countless lives. Our condolences are with the Lurie family.

On June 19th, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally received word of their freedom, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. #Juneteenth is a time to honor Black resilience, celebrate Black joy, and recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for racial justice.
