These programs combine the strengths of two leaders, enhancing the outstanding level of service and providing greater access to state-of-the-art technology, research, and treatment options. PTSD can impact a person’s ability to work, perform daily activities, and maintain relationships with family and friends. For #PTSDAwareness Month, our therapist from the Behavioral Health Center at Mount Sinai, Erika Smith, discusses how PTSD affects our community and the services our medical center offers to those struggling with their mental health.
